Hello.
I like this mod very much but i noticed some issues with the Finnish state and city names when controlling Karelian states.
I list the names which are in my opinion wrong and my solutions to them here:



States:
ID-146 (Karjala) -> Laatokan Karjala - More commonly used name of the area in Finland.

ID-147 (Kairala) -> Alakurtti or Kuolajärvi - Name of the biggest towns/settlements in the area.

ID-1528 (Seuluskoi) -> Toksova - Finnish translation for the largest town in the area (То́ксово)

ID-216 (Äänislinna) -> Aunuksen Karjala - Commonly used Finnish name for the area

ID-2141 (Suojärvi) -> Syväri - Suojärvi is a town in lost Karelia so the name is completely wrong. The river in the area is called Syväri in Finnish.

ID-928 (Valkoinen Karjala) -> Vienan Karjala - is the name used for the area in Finnish.

ID-215 (Kemi) -> Vienan rannat - New name comes from the song "Jääkärimarssi" and generally makes more sense in my opinion.

ID-2253 (Miikkulainen) -> Uikujärvi - Comes from the name of the largest lake in the area. Also it makes more sense in my opinion again :D



City names:
Province ID-6098 (Repola ja Porajärvi) - Repola - Just the name of the town in Finnish.

Province ID-2998 (Also Repola ja Poräjärvi for some reason) - Porajärvi - Finnish name again.

Province ID-3067 (Kemi) - Uhtua - The name of the town in Finnish.

Province ID-11159 (Äänislinna) -> Petroskoi - The name Äänislinna was only really used by the Finnish army leadership, but Finnish population back then and still more commpnly use the translation "Petroskoi". Äänislinna is beautiful and kinda poetic in a way so name change could be and decision or ideology based if possible. For example Fascist and Neutral name -> Äänislinna, Communist name -> Petroskoi, Democratic -> Äänislinna or Petroskoi. (idk if this is even possible :D)

Province ID-9195 (Kemi) -> Vienanlinna - The Finnish name for the city makes sense but because there is already second city called Kemi in western Finland, the Kemi onshore of the Berents Sea could be changed to Vienanlinna. Vienanlinna comes from the Finnish translation of the Berents Sea which is Vienanmeri and Linna just means castle so the combination is Vienanlinna. Its also a last name in Finland. This could also be decision and would make sense as such. Again Fascist and Neutrality -> Vienanlinna, Communism -> Kemi, Democracy -> both.



New city ideas :)
Province ID-9105 (Käkisalmi-Kexholm-Priozersk) Käkisalmi was and is a semi large city (in Finnish standard) at shore of ladoga. I think it would be nice addition for the area. It also has large historical value for us Finns and even Karelians.

Province ID-6172 or 11150 (Aunus-Olonets) Aunus was and still is large mostly Karelian and Finnish speaking city in the area. Once again It has historical value for us Finns and Karelian and it would be nice addition for the area. It also has second name "Aunuksenlinna" which could again be a decision. Fascist and Neutrality -> Aunuksenlinna, Communism -> Aunus, Democracy -> both.


These are all only my opinions and recommendations and not everyone is going to agree with them. Most of these names comes from maps i have studied or similar sources.
