Report a translation problem
The RimFantasy - Medieval Overhaul Edition Weapons are usable with shields, just the Halberd is wielded with both hands.
Same goes for the weapons from the Archaeology guild mod.
Looking into the .json files i assume ("MeleeWeaponType": 6) indicates a two handed sword and perhaps ("MeleeWeaponType": 54) indicates a one handed sword?
Comparing a one hand and a two hand sword there are also the notes ("HandsMode": 1) and ("Rotation": 45.0) and of course the offset coords. I could adjust those myself until you do so.
Thanks a lot for this awesome mod.
I feel like they would be held with two hands if you weren't carrying a shield at the same time, but I will add a patch to swap to one hand if a shield is used at the same time, thanks for letting me know.
By the way, you don't have to edit those JSON files manually. Go to developer actions > open Tweak editor and you will have an editor for all weapons where you can change the hands etc.

Just to make absolutely sure, I don't need to do anything in particular to activate the mod other than enabling it right?
Launch rimworld, mods, enable, apply and restart, load game / create colony - it should just be active?
Just testing some things on my end. Made a tailoring bench and the lassos ARE available to craft, so it's not that the mod is somehow just not working at all. Some of it is being pushed through correctly. spawned some lassos and equipped one on a melee guy. The lasso works as advertised. weapon animations and executions still don't function.
