Improved Wastepack Atomizer

Suggestion? :D
I would like to add a suggestion or two, if ya don't mind. Really great mod, actually made mechanitor seem a bit more worthwhile (I despise the pollution mechanic tbh..)

I was wondering if you'd be willing to create two structures.

A small Wastepack Atomizer, and a Large/Grand Wastepack Atomizer.

The Large/Grand Wastepack Atomizer would occupy double the space of the current wastepack atomizer, but operate at 1.5x the rate of the modded wastepack atomizer values. This means instead of deleting 72 wastepacks in a 12 day cycle, it would be doing 108. You could even increase the power requirement to 1.5x the amount, so effectively this thing would cost 1,800 power to keep running. So while it is more space and time efficient, it is more of a drain on your power grid. I should also mention wastepack storage capacity should go up by 1.5x as well.
(Basically the Large Wastepack Atomizer takes up the space of two wastepack atomizers and performs like two of them added together but at an increased work and capacity factor of 1.5x Thus making it more efficient than having 2x wastepack atomizers, but costing a lot more resources to construct, and more power to keep running as well.)

I'd say the small wastepack atomizer would work inversely and perform either at the unmodded level of wastepack atomization or even operate worse and be at 0.5x effectiveness. As a small trade-off you could strip off the requirement for the chip, thus allowing earlier game wastepack disposal. So instead of like the vanilla rate of 24 wastepacks per 12 day cycle, you'd be doing about 12 wastepacks per 12 day cycle. Your storage capacity would be 5 or 10 wastepacks. I'd say power could be placed at around... 300-400W, thus making it not very efficient in terms of power usage. So basically it performs the same job as the standard atomizer and large atomizer, but at a more resource and space cost effective way, meanwhile its power and actual efficiency at performing the job is worse. You would need 3x of these to do the same work as the modded wastepack atomizer. Again the main trade off would be potentially not needed the chip to make it, so if you have power to spare its a decent tradeoff, if not very efficient, thus still making the standard and large variants well worth the investment.

Idk, I figure you might be better in deciding the values, but just thought I'd pitch the idea lol.

I really like this idea, I think you're on to something. My current playthrough doesn't focus as heavily on the mechanitor, so I've not had the chance to again experience the struggle of disposing wastepacks. But this could be a great way to provide more options for the mid and very late game stages.

A quick look into it makes it look feasible. My main concern will be the graphics for the variants. I haven't worked with the graphics in this game before, and I'm not a graphic designer. So if everything else goes well, the variants may just be literal smaller and larger versions of the vanilla atomizer, at least in the beginning. Once I get the functionality in place, I'll see if I can't get creative with some graphics and possibly create some unique looks for them.

Gah! Sorry for not responding earlier! Haven't been on in a few days lol.

I'm glad to hear it :D

And I was going to say, I did literally picture just stretching and shrinking the graphics to make the wastepack atomizer fit lol.
