tl;dr - many cards are stronger now, there are some new cards, there is a new relic, there are more mod settings options, thank you for playing, you are awesome

A bit more love for Kill la Kill: The Mod.

I plan on fixing bugs as I become aware of issues.

Before this update, Ryuko struggled to find good card draw and block generation at higher ascensions. Many cards have been given small buffs and small re-works in order to help compensate for this weakness. Also, I have added 2 new cards and 1 new relic to Ryuko's arsenal.

The other major change in this update is the inclusion of 4 new mod settings:

Toggle custom Ryuko animations, Toggle scaling ascension difficulty, Toggle starting with Senketsu Blood Vial, Replace 'Note For Yourself' event


NEW CARD:

Blood Drive - Rare Power - 2(1) energy - At the start of your turn, Bloodthirst 1 and draw 1 card. If you lose HP from negative Blood, draw 1 additional card.


NEW CARD:

Torrent - Rare Skill - 1 energy - Spend 6(5) Blood and obtain one: Bloodfire Spirits, Senketsu Blood Vial, or Corrosive Cocktail. Exhaust. Only usable if you have >= 6(5) Blood. Insert NordVPN joke here.


NEW RELIC:

Hi-Hat - Uncommon Relic - At the start of combat, choose one: Closed, Half, or Open Hi-Hat.

Closed: Whenever you discard a card, gain 3 Block.
Half: For every 3 cards discarded, gain 6 Block now and draw 1 extra card next turn.
Open: For every 3 cards discarded, gain 1 energy next turn and draw 1 extra card next turn.


NEW MOD SETTINGS

Toggle custom Ryuko animations - If you "hated the mod because it looks like Ryuko is having a seizure every time you play a card," now you can disable almost all of them. The idle and death animations will still play. Note: this setting affects only Ryuko's sprite skeleton movements. The custom VFX (attack impacts, projectiles, particles, and Seni Soshitsu letters, etc) will not be changed by this setting.

Toggle scaling ascension difficulty - You can now disable the advanced Blood difficulty and play Ascension 8+ without the harsher Blood penalties (less starting Blood, -2 HP from negative Blood)

Toggle start with Senketsu Blood Vial (+4 Blood, +2 Blood Regen) - This option is no longer automatically tied to ascension, it is now a free option to enable or disable on whatever ascension you wish to play. Note: this action is coded into the Kamui Senketsu (Ryuko's starter) relic, so it will not work if you choose to boss swap at Neow. If you're the courageous type to boss swap in the first place, you probably don't need this potion anyway.

Replace 'Note For Yourself' event will replace that event with the 'The Gate' event from my mod. Personally, I think the Note For Yourself event is meme-tier bad, so I created an event to replace it. Note: this event already existed in the mod and already replaced 'Note For Yourself,' but now you have the option to disable it in case you really like 'Note For Yourself'


CHANGES:

Bloodfire Spirits - Potion - Now gives 3 stacks, up from 2; Sacred Bark upgrade is now 6, up from 4

Blood Ripper - Uncommon Attack - Cost is now 1(1), was 1(0). Blood Ripper+ now applies 2 Bleed per stack of Vulnerable, up from 1

Fight Club Mako - Rare Attack - Damage done by this card is now Naked damage (unaffected by buffs or debuffs on player or target, including Intangible). Also tweaked audio/visual stuff.

Heel Click - Common Skill - Block is now 4(6), up from 4(5). Change - Heel Click+ is now: When drawn, draw a card and discard a card (old version: When drawn, choose one: draw a card or discard a card)

Hemostasis - Uncommon Skill - Block is now 12(15), up from 11(14)

Kamaitachi - Uncommon Attack - Damage is now 6(8), down from 7(9)

Mako Call - Rare Skill - Change: Card draw on Retain now caps at 5; when this limit is reached, Mako Call will additionally grant 2(3) energy when played

Mako Dive Bomb - Common Attack - Damage done by this card is now Naked damage (unaffected by buffs or debuffs on player or target, including Intangible)

Mako Missile - Common Attack - Minor rework: the discard damage is now 4(5), down from 5(7). Discard damage reworded as: When discarded, ALL enemies lose 4(5) HP.

Mako's Plan - Common Skill - Cost is now 0, down from 1; cards moved from discard pile to top of draw pile is now 1(2), down from 2(3)

Mako Slide - Common Skill - Block is now 2(4), down from 4(6). Change: Mako Slide now draws a card instead of discards a card

Nonon Jakuzure - Rare Attack - Bugfix: Damage now properly interacts with Vulnerable and Thorns

Ryuko Flex - Uncommon Power - Bugfix: Ryuko Flex+ now properly applies the correct amount of Strength Down if your Blood fails to meet the threshold (formerly it was incorrectly applying -2 STR instead of -1 STR)

Scissor Blade Expunger - Rare Attack - Now does 4(6) damage and 1(2) Bleed 4 times, was 7(9) damage 4 times, apply 4 Bleed

Senketsu Absorption - Uncommon Skill - Block is now 7(10), up from 4(6)

Senketsu Feed - Uncommon Skill - HP loss is now 4(2), was 4(3); Blood gain is now 6(6), was 5(6)

Senketsu Flow - Common Skill - Blood gain is now 2(3), up from 1(2). Additional effect: also gain 2(3) Block.

Sewing Machine Gun - Uncommon Attack - Sewing Machine Gun+ now correctly increases attack multiplier by 2 when discarded

Shoulder Tackle - Common Attack - Damage is now 9(12), up from 9(11); Weak inflict is now 2(3), up from 1(2)

Sole Survivor - Rare Skill - Block is now 13(15), up from 10(12)

Survival - Common Skill - Block is now 9(12), up from 9(10)

Thirsting Strike - Uncommon Attack - Now increments the correct amount of Blood when upgraded and also properly increments Blood even if player had null Blood power (boss relic swap cases)

TRIGGER - Is now Rare Skill, was Uncommon - Re-work: Discard your hand. Trigger all discard effects of all cards in your discard pile. Exhaust. Trigger+: Discard your hand. Trigger all discard effects of all cards in your draw and discard piles. Exhaust.

Tsunami Slash - Rare Attack - Debuff infliction is now 3(4), up from 2(3)

Will To Live - Uncommon Skill - Block is now 14(18), up from 11(14)


MISCEL:

Large card portraits for skills don't overlap in the bottom left corner anymore
Clarified text description for gaining Blood Fury
Certain FAUX_RYUKO cards will no longer appear as card reward choices if you have Prismatic Shard

I really like this mod post update,
but I think that bleed is a bit too strong,
would you consider increasing stack loss per turn
something like losing 1/3*(bleed-vuln) if target is exposed
this way player will be forced to maintain their stacks to keep the damage up
instead of negligible 1 stack loss per turn
