[Creative Writing] - The Devils Blood Trials -
This is basically just something i was inspired to write while i was documenting how to cure the affliction for a friendo. It is in a sort of research documentation style thats kind of inspired by the SCP documentation format and some random medical journals i saw once. A lot of creative liberties were taken as well, so theres probably a few things that just arent correct.

If you dont like this kinda thing being here, feel free to nuke it P: I just thought peeps might find it interesting here :P

-Devils Blood Testing Trials-
Documented by Doctor Ben Morne of the Coalition Military-Medical Research and Development Division

Trial Notes:
The nature of these trials are to test the effectiveness of the relatively newly developed Devils Blood and to cure its affliction. This will be Dr Mornes first day on the team here at the facility, and will have his performance evaluated at the end of these trials. Further documentation on Dr Morne and the Devils Blood can be found in the attached file.

Patient 0
Sex: Male
Age: approx. 24
Build: average, approx 1.7 meters in height
Affiliation: Jovian
Status: Deceased

Experiment type: Control

Patient 0 was brought in under the pretense of freedom after this experiment, and thusly remained calm during the initial procedures. After the Devils Blood was administered, he remained relatively unphased, only complaining of a mild burning sensation through his left arm (point of administration), but was mostly silenced after calming reassurances.

After 30 seconds, the patients complaints grow louder, insisting he is going to burn from the inside and has begun to strip in a frenzied panic, occasionally belching a red mist orally that only gets thicker as the seconds go on. The patients skin was also showing a slight reddish discoloration. Any calm reassurances go ignored from this point on.

Approx. after 1 minute the patient suddenly and violently showing hematesis symptoms, quickly covering the floor in his own blood as he vomits continuously. Shockingly, the patient continues to maintain motor function which he uses to bash against the observation window. It is noted that his skin looks like that of a red boiled crawler.

1 minute 10 seconds and the patients hair, teeth, and nails have begun to fall out. His voice has also grown noticeably quieter and more gurgled as well. Observation of patient 0 has become difficult however, due to sheer amount of blood covering the observation window. We will be relocating to a higher vantage point.

2 minutes and 13 seconds in, the patient lies in pool of blood on the floor. The patient appears to be still breathing, but only barely. Blood appears to be covering his whole body, which explains the amount of blood on the lower observation window. The patient is completely unresponsive to verbal commands.

4 minutes and 30 seconds. We sent a guard in to retrieve the patient and conclude the experiment after several minutes of unresponsiveness. The patient was believed to be deceased, and was confirmed by the guard. However the guard did report a rather foul odor filling the room, and obtained chemical burns simply being in proximity of the corpse.

After further observation of the corpse, if you could call it that, it was concluded that the patient was liquefied quite literally from the inside out. No bones, or organ tissue or even blood remained, instead replaced with copious amounts of contaminated Devils Blood. Strangely however, the patients skin is the only article of the body that has survived..

Final notes: Stabilozine administration seems optimal. In addition to this, Class 1 Hazard Suits may be required due to the volatile and unstable nature of the devils blood. It is also advised that future patients are strapped down due to their unreasonable noncooperation.

Note: After a short consultation, the remains were cleared to feed to Patricia, the female mudraptor. See attached file for the observation experiment. Needless to say however, the mudraptor deceased violently in a similar manner.

Patient 1
Sex: Male
Age: approx. 40
Build: heavy non-muscular, approx 1.6 meters in height
Affiliation: Jovian
Status: Deceased

Experiment Type: Trial 1
Experiment Notes: Standard procedure with stabilozine administration.

Patient 1 was brought in under the pretense of freedom after the experiment, however he seemed quite skeptical, though optimistically cautious, and thusly remained relatively calm throughout the initial procedures. The addition of medical staff did seem to maintain his optimism, though that also seemed to wane once we had strapped him to the bed, to prevent the same mishap of patient 0. Patient 1 complained of a mild irritation and burning sensation in his left arm (point of administration) and showed immediate signs of flushed red skin at point of contact.

30 seconds in and the patient has begun showing signs of panic, with complaints of burning from the inside. Though he remains relatively cooperative as we administer the first batch of stabilozine. The patient is sweating profusely on the medical bed and showing similar signs as patient 0.

1 minute in and it has become apparent that stabilozine has been ineffective. At this point the patient has began showing signs of hematesis. We had to strap his head down to one side so that he not drown in his own blood. At this point he continued showing signs similar to that of patient 0 with reddening skin as a foul odor fills the room.
We will be administering even more stabilozine. Blood packs have also been brought in, and blood transfusions will begin immediately.

1 minute and 30 seconds in, and the patient has not shown signs of recovery as his body has continued to deteriorate. Blood has began sweating from his pores as his hematesis only grows more violent. At this point we're pumping blood in as fast as he is losing it. His hair, nails, and teeth have also began to fall out, making our work much messier. Several of the doctors have also reported chemical burns, and had to retrieve class 1 hazard suits before continuing their work. More stabilozine at larger volumes have been administered.

2 minutes and 36 seconds in, the doctors seem to have been able to maintain his condition with an occasional dosage of stabilozine and constant drip feed of blood. However, the last blood pack has just ran dry, and only 3 doses stabilozine remain. It is also noted that the patients motor skills have drastically deteriorated, and seems relatively unresponsive.

3 minutes and 10 seconds in and the patient has been declared deceased. Just the same as patient 0, he was liquefied entirely from the inside out and only his skin, and scraps of his clothes remain along with copious amounts of contaminated Devils Blood. Pushes to further experiment with the remains and our aquatic captives have been denied. His remains will be instead sent to sector 8 for further study. See file attached for full documentation.

Final Notes: Increased dosage of Stabilozine seems to show promise, however due to patient profusely sweating and vomiting their blood, it seemed impossible to keep the blood we pumped into from pouring quite literally right back out. Bandages and Plastiseal are advised.

---------------------

Patient 2
Sex: Female
Age: Approx. 28
Build: average, approx 1.5 meters in height
Affiliation: Coalition
Status: Recovering

Additional notes: Is the sister of patient 0

Experiment Type: Trial 2
Experiment Note: We will be increasing the dosage of Stabilozine as it showed promise in Trial 1. Additionally, we have been given a new batch of Devils Blood and have been assured that it is much more chemically stable. Regardless, Class 1 Hazard Suits will still be prepared as a precaution.

Patient 2 was brought in under the pretense of a large sum of money after a series of experiments, as well as a promise of releasing her brother from custody. This has kept her completely compliant throughout the initial procedures. Patient 2 complains of a mild burning sensation in her left arm (point of administration) and showed immediate signs of flushed red skin at point of contact.

30 seconds in, and the patient has become incredibly uncomfortable, though has maintained calmness despite the complaints of a 'fire within'.
The first doses of stabilozine are being administered now.

45 seconds in and the patient has shown signs of recovery, and seems to be relaxing due to a 'cooling' effect within.

1 minute and 20 seconds in and the patient has began to scream before showing violent hematesis symptoms. As standard procedure, her head has been strapped down to one side. Patient has also began convulsing violently, and any attempt to calm her has proven ineffective.
3 more doses stabilozine has been administered.

2 minutes in and the patient has began to sweat blood, similar to that of the patient 1. Bandages will be applied to any 'wounds' across her body in an effort to stem the tide. Hematesis symptoms have also continued to worsen and the patients vitals are starting to waver as her organs appear to be on the verge of shutting down. Its astonishing that such a detail was missed with patient 1.
More stabolizine has been administered, and blood transfusions have begun.

3 minutes and 20 seconds in. Despite the patient showing signs of being stabilized, the Devils Blood seems to have made a full return once again. The doctors have complained that it is difficult to tell when the drug has been stabilized as the hematesis and other symptoms mask its continued damage and resurgence until it is too late. In addition to this, the Devils Blood appears to act faster as time progresses and the more advanced it becomes in the patients system.
Morphine and Deusizine has been brought in and will be administered in addition to the Stabilozine, blood transfusion and bandages.

Approx 10 minutes in, and the patient has finally pushed into what appears to be full recovery. Approx. 5 full body transfusions, 36 doses of Stabilozine, 5 doses of Morphine, 2 doses of Deusizine, a dose of Naloxone and a small pile of bandages were used in total, however it is agreed upon by my colleagues that a faster, and sustained dosage of Stabilozine at the first signs of it being in your system should cure the affliction without the need of anything more. Further testing will be required however.
In addition to this, Europan physiology only continues to fascinate as Patient 2's body is showing almost no signs of the affliction. No malformed organs, bones, any loss of cognitive or motor ability seem to be present. It is almost as if it had never happened.
It is also worth noting that Class 1 Hazard Suits were not required during this procedure. Whatever was wrong with the first batch appears to have been addressed.

Unfortunately, further testing on patient 2 has been denied, and is due at site 19 for husk trials once her recovery is complete.

As of writing this, i have been notified of a highly experimental condensed variant of Stabilozine. After the results of trial 2, i have high optimism for this and its effect on the Devils Blood. Trials begin in a months time. I eagerly await.

I miss the times when the SCP fandom could actually bothered to make stuff like this, that was such a long time ago though :skull:

At least we have scp youtubes out there that sometimes make their own thing, or their own interpretations of various stories within the community. :P

Hopefully this was a fun read either way :D
