If using CE and also the ammunition system, then once your colonists at an outpost run out of ammo they can no longer reload or use their guns, since there is no way to give them items and ammunition doesn't spawn on the map during raids (even if there is ammo available in the items tab).

Is there any way to fix this on my end or is this something that would have to be added in for the mod itself?

Been having this issue too. Maybe the modder can label ammos as equipable?

I have the same issue as well, it seems like the mod itself will have to be fixed for this. I recommend using Dev mode to give yourself ammo or character editor to manually put in the ammo

From the few replies in the comments about this, I doubt they plan to fix it.

So, it's either use melee or turn off raids in the options.

I'd doubt they'd do this, but if I could do so, I'd handle it where when you have an encounter checks the items before battle and if any kind of ammo (CE or any other mod) is detected in the item list it will make sure to spawn whatever is detected on the map near the structure in a storage area.

It'd be annoying for encampments or defensive outposts since sometimes it won't build a structure from my experience, but for the others it'd actually work because it creates moments where your pawns have to rush to defend themselves with it feeling tense without actually meaning much practical wise.


But this rate we'll just have to hope for a fan patch to do it for us. Probably the same for the Vehicles Expanded mod as well.
