Train Simulator Classic 2024

New York Division-Bergen County Line

NJ&NY Branch
As a relatively new user, I've been enjoying this route and all of the new additions over the past several months. This latest update definitely captures the feel of the various switching leads between East Rutherford and Wood-Ridge. For the first run over the NJ&NY I used Travel by Train's Conrail GP35. My best memories of this line are from the Conrail era, so this seemed appropriate.

A few photos from the run:

Any chance the line might be extended to Teterboro? The Ford Lead alone once had a very good mix of customer sidings.

"Erie Limited" Ha, you MUST be an ERIE MAN!
I was just there a few days ago (in game) that spur to the industrial area is crying to be done. Had one failed attempt to go there with an assistant - that is why the track is run out so far.
I will put this is the "Need To Do" Hopper.

I also recommend my line of box car repaints here: http://golden-age-rails.com/rwroll.html
AND we also have GP7 and DUNMORE cabooses. And of course we have the "NJNY SERVICE ONLY" Dunmore for full emersion!

Glad to hear we might see that extension of the route one day! Before I-80 was completed there was an even greater number of sidings and track connections in Teterboro/South Hackensack.

I am enjoying the box cars and Dunmore Cabooses. Thanks for those...they're awesome additions.

I'm having an issue with the EL GP9s downloaded from Golden Age. There is no prime mover sound when in the cab and the keyboard shortcuts for operating the locomotive do not work. The headlights also do not activate. I have the Penn Central GP9 pack installed and they seem to work properly. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this. I tried uninstalling and re-installing but there was no change.

Thank you for pointing out the issues with the GP9. I had the same experience and was so thoroughly engrossed in the repaint project and the joy of having ERR and EL units, I didn't contact the developer. I have reached out to Golden Age this evening. to see if the units are 'as-is' or this is a correctable flaw.

* note please tryout Carlton Hill its is VERY 1968 there, if you have not already.

Thanks for looking into the GP9 issue. At least I know it's not just my install.

And I have also enjoyed Carlton Hill. Definitely more like the late 60/s70s with a good number of industries still in place (including the Passaic River bridge)!

Your getting the industrial lead at Carlstadt. My last update started the track there.
No extension beyond Wood-Ridge though.
