Improvement Suggestions
Starting this thread to collect improvement recommendations from the community. This is a port so I don't expect much development of this - but this is a great mod and has successfully brought me back to playing Rome 1 so figure might as well aggregate requests.

If were to change anything about this mod it would be three things. 1. Make merchants function, right now I can't select the option to bring merchants into the game. 2. Change watchtowers to villages. 3. This is probably the toughest one, and that's bring the culture-religion mechanic into the game. Though I appreciate that may be a big ask.

Culture/religion being brought in would definitely be a nice touch. Also villages are a better aesthetic than guard towers so agreed there.

Personally I just want this to remain as faithful to the original as possible, with any other additions being optional submods.
I'm not sure what exactly is moddable for Rome Remastered, but I'd like the EB soundtrack added (nvm lol it's already there), and themed UIs for different factions.

Hey hey! Just checking in again to report some current glitchy/buggy unit skins! :D

So hopefully these links should work, but I noticed the Germanic Bodyguard, (Xosenthozez Xazdadoi) has a misaligned interior/exterior texture. https://puu.sh/JZPRp.jpg

I'd love to see the faction-themed UIs, but I'm not sure if that's even mod-able for RTW:R. Maybe not, as I've not seen any mod change it.

Could be something changeable in the remastered even if it isn't in the original.

More soldiers per unit. Not in cavalry, they are more than enough, but pretty much every spear unit should be maximum size except the super elite ones, and every sword/axe etc. unit should be just a bit less numerous than them. Like 300 (was that the max number?) for militia and ordinary hoplites, warbands etc. (also legionaires) but 240? for, say, Galatian swordsman.

Also a new, cleaner map. No rush ^__^

I feel like logic demands that Europa Barbarorum 2 nations be folded in here as an optional sub mod.

I know Its easy to say that when I'm asking someone else to do the work, but Id still be in favor of this, even if the added playable factions didn't have any extra special units and are just clone stamps of existing factions/units that already exist in EB1.

I mentioned it somewhere before but I loved the treatment Syracuse got, and if Galatia or Massalia or Belgium or the Boii could get that same great deal it would really shake up my early, mid and late game play throughs and wildly increase the shelf life of this mod.

I hope the mod removes the vanilla music and puts in more EB2 music to keep with the feel. Heavy agree for the Splash Screen and the UI be more like the original mod.

Vanilla music and battle notification voices are removed at this point. Sounds generally are nearly same as in eb 1.2, and could be extended to EB II (music and campaign map voices).

Thank you, it was a minor nitpick but a pet peeve of mine so I am glad you are removing it. Would love to add in stuff from EB 2 in the future.

please stay with EB1.2 that was the real last version.

About suggestions, I would like variation to units, visible armor updates etc. I realize it is very difficult to do but just putting it out there.

Maybe implement the new units from EB 1.33. Unit variation, and if possible with the timeline the Novus Ordo Mundi scripts and units. Love the rival work here in this mod and the additional of India and the new map
Hey it's been a while but I just want to say I am happy to see you guys continue to improve this port and all you have done for it. I am glad you removed the vanilla music and voices for the announcers, but I still hear the vanilla voices when clicking on things in the campaign. I seem to remember that the original mod used their own voice lines for even the campaign, I know EB 2 does, so I hope you guys eventually either bring in the original mod voice lines for the campaign, or at least add in the ones from EB 2.
