but it was spain and i just ended the war?? i always thought rebels took over unrest and kicked you out. is this a glitch?

Tried playing barbarians(germania) for the first time in a decade. Make almost no money despite focusing markets and roads and trade, if anything, you make LESS money the more you upgrade your settlements, and british chariots, even the lightest chariots, destroy any other barbarian units. Is this game basically Roman and Greek focused? Are the barbarian countries just supposed to be NPCs and not designed for actual playing?...

So I played the OG Rome a while back and got the Remaster. I do have to ask, is the A.I. programmed to be super stupid in the world map? For example, Dacia have just decided to betray me and attack me despite us having an alliance, me having 10x their troops in the area and 50x their economic output. Like I really dont understand the A.I. in this game at all......
