Thanks for the feedback, the Material Filter mod worked perfectly for this. Thanks!
Insect Supremacy could maybe be the same as well, mood buffs for seeing or being around insect hives, viewing glowpods as beautiful/being able to keep them alive by applying a small amount of insect jelly, etc.
Precepts:
Master Stalkers - Pawns are expert hunters - filled with patience and accuracy. Bonus Stealth, bonus shooting accuracy at the cost of aim time penalty and animal tame chance.
Expert Tanners - Pawns are more adept in getting yields from wild game than from domestic animals. Bonus butcher efficiency from hunted animals, no bonus yields from slaughtered animals, penalty in animal gathering yields. Leather and Leather made items have better trade prices.
Thrill of the hunt - hunting gives the hunter mood buffs, the bigger and wilder the animal - the more the mood buff it gives. If the colony doesn't hunt for a long time, everyone gets a mood de-buff while hunting large numbers will give everyone a mood buff (regardless of size and wildness)
Specialist:
Trap Master - has the ability to put bait in traps, which causes nearby large wild animals to be attracted to the targeted trap and triggering it.
Ritual:
Ritual of the hunt - a ritual that shows the location of a pack of large, wild animals(Randomly chosen spieces). the better the ritual, the larger the pack.
Overall: this should make having animals mods more spicy (totally not looking at alpha animals mods. i swear. totally.)
Would it be possible to allow colonies with this meme to designate pieces of Worthless Junk as altars? Praying around a walker leg or an old vending machine would be amazing, and it'd really fit the narrative
I'm not entirely sure how that would work with the current UI, though. Could it be made to allow a player to choose a broad category, like "Any Worthless Junk" instead of how it is now?
Precepts:
Hunger - Desired. Pawns will be more determined to complete tasks and walk faster as they become more and more hungry. While normal hunger grants mood buffs, malnutrition has a high chance of causing a mental break. Melee pawns who are about 80% hunger tend to swing faster, as well.
Expansive Palate - Pawns do not care whether food is cooked, uncooked, raw, or straight from a corpse. They also do not mind fungi, insectoids or humans, as they consider those specialized delicacies.
Comfort Food - Pawns can gain additional immunity to diseases as well as healing recent wounds slightly faster after they've eaten a bit. Pawns may also eat for recreation, eating a small amount of food to taste test or gain comfort.
Rituals:
Great Feast - The Head Chef prepares a fine meal for the entire colony and any guests, celebrating various things that have occurred at the end of the year. Every pawn that is not hostile on the map can attend if enough seats are available: Depending on the success, it can potentially call additional animals to the map, mark points of interest, raise faction relations if guests are present, and more.
Mukbang - The Devourer wishes to put on a grand display of gluttony for others to aspire to, and invites a prisoner or colonist without the same ideology to join them. Requires either 20-30 cooked meals or 200-400 of raw food. Although considered disgusting by many, it is a fine meal for those participating. Improves mood of colonists with same ideology, lowers the mood of others unless they participate. Can potentially recruit prisoners and change their ideology if the resistance is low enough.
Predators on the map sense a disturbance and will flee the map if the maximum amount of
raw food is provided.
Eating Contest - The colony holds an eating contest to see who can eat the most in a certain amount of time. Boosts recreation of those attending, and can improve faction relations. Animals in the distance may smell the food and come wandering in regardless of success. Beware, though: It is very much possible to start choking. Keep a doctor at the ready for this one!
Specialists:
Head Chef - A colonist who is not afraid to experiment and explore tastes, or get the resources needed to experience those tastes. Their culinary arts lead the colony with ease. Their ability allows them to cook massive amounts of food from the Grand Stewpot, as well as harvest additional crops and gain additional meat and resources from butchering. Their active ability allows them to call all colonists to eat, even if they are full, to receive a mood buff and recreation boost.
Devourer - Gluttony is an understatement for this pawn: Even Thrumbos can't keep up with their appetite. Where does their stomach go? No one knows. A powerful melee specialist that uses bites and chomps to stun and bleed opponents, which scales based on the pawn's Melee stat and how strong their Jaw body part is. Their ability allows them to start viciously ripping into their opponent, gaining hunger with every strike that breaks or removes a body part.
Structures:
Grand Stewpot - An enormous cooking pot, of variable origins. One can also be made out of Mechanoid parts and corpses, if one wishes to. Able to produce a large amount of food in the form of soup or stew for little effort, and out of many ingredients.
Colonists can toss raw food, corpses of all origins (Bones add to the flavor, even Mechanoids can add to the flavor, but the mechanites within might not react very well with that...) and various seasonings or vegetables into the pot. The Head Chef is the only one who can produce food from the pot themselves, however.
Mechanoid Silverware - "If I can't eat you, I'll make kitchenware outta you!" Silverware such as bowls and dinner sets can be made out of Mechanoid parts or corpses. Colonists that eat at tables with these sitting there will receive lasting mood buffs.
Let their god be Hircine, please! I beg of you!
Fishing (Prohibited/Horrible/Disapproved)
And have fishing forbidden for the vanilla memes "Nature primacy", "Animal personhood" plus this mod's "Vegan"
Otherwise it's not very immersive nor vanilla friendly that "naturist" pawns hate killing innocent animals yet they can fish with no penalty whatsoever. Fishing should be a disliked activity for those memes
I lose Junk fairly regularly to raids. Could it be possible to add a new Meteor-like event that drops random junk on the map in a small area? So it becomes renewable in some fashion?
Though the intended method is for you to caravan out there and grab more junk ;)
