Galactic Imperium - how to join ?
Have many request (16 countries requests) from other countries to join the Galactic Imperium. As soon as I accept the 1st country it starts the Galactic Imperium (federation?) Icon appears left center screen to access. Says i am not a member. Cant subjugate any members bc not member myself. Button to ask to join doesn't work - there but cant click on it - Click on it and does nothing - no click sound like dead link - unable to join.

Previous play through before 3.6.1 update, clicked allow country to join and was up and running no worries. Automatically member.

Feel silly, what i am i missing ? Any help please . Thanks.

Currently have the exact same problem, I am playing as the Empire, and refused the creation of the Imperium, but somehow I am the leader of it? I can't join because the join button is locked. Hopefully someone figures a fix, I really don't want to reset my playthrough.

Went back to older save when to choose Galactic Imperium. Activated Galactic Imperium opt in or opt out of the mechanic. Many nations then offered to join. Ignored all the offers no Yes, no No - let them all expire, just ignore. More than 6 months later. Jan 1 the following year it automatically created the Galactic Imperium with many countries automatically members and my county automatic joined. Problem solved by ignoring everything. Hope it helps.
