"[3.14 Legacy] Star Wars: New Dawn" usually entails that the mod might not be updated again. You don't use Legacy in a mod name unless you intend to either stop development on it entirely, or have no plans to update it for the foreseeable future.
I'd tell your friends that there's no real difference between 3.0 and 4.0, just a DLC essentially, that's pretty much it.
Will the mod be updated again? To either most recent or before the big physic update. (Idk what number we are on now). I wanted to do another run with my friends but they only started playing during 4.0 and onwards so it would be hard for them to revert back.
We were hoping to have it out this week but that's wishful thinking on our part.
@daniuls:
Design choice
Question: In game settings, you can opt to start as the Galactic Emperor for the Galactic community. But I noticed you don't get the Sovereign civic that comes with it, and other empires can still start their own federations. Is this a bug or by design?
Du musst Stellaris auf 3.14 downgraden, dann kannst du die Mods spielen.
Dlcs sollten egal sein, welche du anhast.
Oder am besten warten auf die neue Version warten bzw. Update
"Overly fanatic" that's a new one...But agreed. To disagree. Have a nice life.
Book's covers are made to be judged - if someone insults others and demands help for their own problems, then they have lost their first given chance of deserving help.
You sound overly fanatic, lets agree to disagree.
A good day!
Has it ever occurred to you that some people have problems explaining what the problem is BECAUSE of people who have the tendency of treating them like garbage?
Cool, you have a mod. You want a cookie? EVERYONE deserves a chance on this platform. Because if Support is useless, then someone must take up the reigns and help where needed.
I did that for Maehue, because I had a hunch his problem was genuine, and it turned out, I was right. Don't judge a book by its cover. 99% of users are like him, genuine people who need help. Do not let the 1% ruin it for everyone else. Be the solution, not the problem...
I'm behind the mod "Shrouded Regions", and let me tell you how horrible some people are. Clearly these people don't even desvere help from anyone. This dude here started his whole tantrum with using thumbs-down emojis and spamming - the first reason not to give him a platform to speak to people direcly.
Just be happy about you have revealed the idiocy of this person with your kindness and that it probably even helped.
And yet ONE person was willing to help. Out of how many? I was willing to help him. Despite the insults, or whatever else. I helped. More than even the Devs were able to. I get to flex, because I'm tired of the people on Steam treating everyone like garbage and then playing victim when they get treated like garbage in return.
And given he hasn't mentioned it again, tells me something worked. One of the fixes worked. I was helpful. Enjoy that Jester on your profile though. You deserved it.
Best quotes from Bro @Maehue:
"We will try this again, since reading level is that of a 2nd grader:",
" reading through all of this nonsense on here",
I will try that again and see what happens.
Try unsubscribing from the mod. Validate game files, uninstall the game, reinstall it, then resubscribe to the mod. If that doesn't work lmk.
It is now showing that I am subscribed, but not that it is downloaded. Is there a way to troubleshoot the download of the Mod?
Unable to "Enable" anymore. Shows up grayed out now.
Yes to everything. Only options the dots give me are:
Show in Workshop
Show in Folder
In that case, go into your mods and on the right there should be three dots. Click them and there should be an option to repair the mod.
Are you loading just the mod, as a playset on its own? For example I have it saved in a playset by itself as SWND and have that playset selected before I click "Play" in the dropdown under the play button. Do you have it selected in its own by itself?
Seems I have a new error. Mod is missing a "descriptor file"
With the Mod enabled, it loads up in a few seconds and I am in the lobby to start a game, etc. Only issue is that is it the standard Stellaris setup. I have no freezing or crashing going on. I will check for the game launcher updates.
So it does load, the mod does, but it takes time. I'm on Windows 11 as well, and it takes close to ten-ish minutes for me to load, and my system is brand new. Does it just not actually launch the game, or does it appear to freeze while loading?
Also, check if the game launcher is asking for an update, as it tends to break everything if it's not updated itself.
@antoncatedrales you're literally being useless. Leave it be. I got this.
I have uninstalled everything, reinstalled the game and have only this page subscribed to. I have included it in the Playlists and Enabled with the version 3.14.1592653 running via the Betas in the game properties.
I have purchased the game on Steam. I am subscribed on here and created a playlist with only this subscription in the playlist and it does not work. I honestly would love to give this Mod a go, but curious why when I load the game under the 3.14.1592653 version, it just loads the normal game regardless of the mod playlist being enabled or not.
your comment was in no way a step in a positive direction of helping anyone.
The mod doesn't load. The game loads just fine whether I click to enable the mod or not. I am running Windows 11.
And thanks again for the efforts of developers everytime that Paradox issue a new version.
What precisely is the issue with the mod? Because I just ran it perfectly fine on the Pi version, as you so kindly put it, with zero issues. So it has to be something on your end.
Let's work on the process of elimination.
I have spent hours reading through all of this nonsense on here as well as Reddit, and the discussions page. There is NO clear writing anywhere that states "We understand there are multiple versions on Paradox Mods, those are not ours... Ours are located: X..... and the name of ours is: Z..... You get the point, I hope.
The only thing repeated over and over is "We like Pi" also known as "3.14.1592653" and according the the different "New Dawns" there are, none of them work using version Pi.
Which "Star Wars New Dawn" is considered the correct one? (Do NOT respond if you are going to say, "it is in the comments", because it is not.)
We already know that the "3.14.159265" version is supposed to be the correct one, but it does not work there either.
I see what it states in the comments and I have clearly written out that I tried everything to ensure the game is working based on "the comments" suggestions. I have gone through everything on Paradox as well as my subscription here and none of them are working.
I clearly wrote out that I went back many versions. The comments clearly state that the 3.14.1592653 version should work, but it does not. Please read the comment in it's entirety before responding.
All of those were uploaded to Paradox Mods without our permission and probably don't even work to begin.
Its been answered multiple times in the comments.
Not a single one of the "New Dawn" mods work. I have tried every Star Wars New Dawn mod I can find:
(etc...) ...in every possible combination for hours under the following versions:
I even tried newer versions just in case....
(etc...)
Can we get clarification on which version it is supposed to be and who by?
Roll your game back to the version required. It WON'T work on the current game version. You MUST roll back to the specified game version for it to work...
I love this mod but there is an issue with Piracy fleet patrols. Because the game starts with FTL and hyperlanes, when I set a fleet to patrol 2 or more systems, the ships can only use FTL and so jump through both systems too fast to do ANYTHING to Piracy suppression.
Also creating custom ships, I CANNOT choose to not include FTL component. Lowest tier is FTL.
Am I missing something? Can the mod creator(s) please look into adding a ship component that would disable FTL? or adding a special Piracy ship without FTL?
Am I just missing something? I cant build starbases on every single system that trade goes through.... My only option is to have a fleet for every single system I own and just park them there totally cluttering my fleet list.
I love this mod btw, especially the ship variety.
