Can't say I'm a fan of the supply/ambushes missions
I'm adding my voice to it,and its just my feedback I don't expect it to cater to me,and I did my own changes in the files anyway like making ambushes way less of a thing.

But yeah overall,I find those honestly annoying and a bad "break time",and not the annoying type of "oh I should be more careful its boriiiing" and the like, those are on me.

But man most know that one of the annoying and tedious part of the game was timer,so ambush is like,no timer, but we just make it feel like so.

And send waves after waves of dudes while still making the crates go every turn,it should be at least delayed by one turn each time, either reinforcement or crate extract.
Both being each turn is too strong, its unfair as hell.

I get "oh you ain't supposed to get it all" and that the inf spawn is a deterent to staying,I truly do,but I should have a "chance" to get at least half, here its always "just get 2 and go",here its just not possible cause after 3 turn, you have usually +15 enemies and the crates still go 2 by 2 .
Like yeah all I think would be needed is just, inf spawn with a turn in between of,just let me move a bit freely.

Like when I start a new run everytime I laugh seeing the first supply mission in the first 5 days and think "who would even attempt that",cause you'll get smacked most of the time where those guys are quite needed for covers and the like that happen quite soon.

As for Ambushes its just literally the map is too big,way too big,and the fact that the enemy will go toward you even concealed after a bit cause its a vanilla thing, make it insta flawed,I ain't ashamed to say if I get one,I TTC out of there, cause its straight up unfair, even with the vests and stuff, the map is way too long so the guys will at one point or another come to you and spot you.
Hell its so dumb that at some point if you are like 3-4 turns in,they will dash to your location, not even walk and try to not make it obvious that they know where you are.

Why do you think you should "have a chance to get at least half" of the crates? It is difficult to get a lot of crates so that building new weapons/armours isn't trivially easy. If there are so many enemies on your map it means you're not killing them. There's no timer before you reveal so you need to set up in a good position and or ambush a pod so there's not so many enemies.

In my experience the first supply mission is the one where I get the most crates because the enemies are weaker. I play on legend and with a mod that forces me to wait 2 turns before I can extract via Skyranger. I usually get at least 3 crates first mission; often more. Later in the game when MECs/vipers/mutons show up the crate missions are way harder and I consider myself lucky if I get more than 2.

Your observations about the enemies on ambush missions are not because of this mod. Enemies do that in vanilla XCOM 2.

I know,I literally say that

"...after a bit cause its a vanilla thing, make it insta flawed..."
And thats why I say that big maps ain't working good here, specially cause it doesn't seem to take into account the vanilla system which is "rush B to the concealed enemy after 3 turns"

Cool but false,at some point the enemies are spongier and take more shots, taking in account the rng,its not as easy as you make it sound to kill enough dude per round to keep the count somewhat manageable, and you must be doing the same, since you get barely 20% of the crates according to you.

I explain that too, literally in the post, like haf the things I answered to in this post to you man.

sorry but i disagree. also people have proven it is possible to get all crates even in a CI crate mission. and the rewards are insanely high even for a few crates. 1 turn between RNF? well then you might as well disable it because you are just killing them if you don't make the rnfs twice as big. That's my opinion. Anyways nothing in CI will change, so you might look in the configs and change things.

A few things i did:
- limit pod sizes in this mission with DABFL to 3
- reduce squad size to 4 for this mission
- Timer only starts once conceal is broken
- more crates
- advent takes 3 crates per turn

So you disagree but made it so its easier to do by limiting pods and add crates and only start timer when found? Idk that feel like you say "yes its flawed, but I fixed it my way" and go in my sense. Cause making them take more crates and limiting the squad ain't harder if they have less pod sizes and you can just set yourself fine from the start without the timer rushing you out of the gate, with more crates and thus more places to go.

Which is totally fine btw (before someone say I rant/elitist or whatev),I actually like the changes you show,I'll have to do some myself.

But I don't have enough Xcom modding knowledge on how these works yet (I have general modding knowledge and reading files ain't hard, theres just a lot here,I was able to change quite some stuff like ambushes and the like at least, but the supply missions I ain't too sure),if I find how to make them twice as big but take a turn to show up,I'll do so. (And limit the squad).

Also on "people have proven" sorry but, while I ain't saying you're lying (like duh I assume some did it),doesn't mean its any less painful, someone must've done a legend ironman only rookie, doesn't mean I can't say I find Legend Ironman hard cause "someone did it".

But yeah its my opinion on it,like I said in the post Ik it ain't gonna change to cater to me(just to say, sometime dudes assume its auto defense mode and attack others choices)

Oh yh also I never said it before lmao but love your mods,I use quite a lot, specially the tesla ones

the one that timer only starts after you blow concealment is actually a recommended CI setting if you use AI to AI activations. you can find it in the CI config files

the adding of 3 crates is undone by advent taking 50% more crates per turn. the limiting of podsize is also countered by a considerably smaller squadsize. This leads to a shorter mission on average.

The place where i REALLY made it a lot easier is somewhere else. This actually does somewhat break the balance. I have set it so that a supply extraction can be either the one from CI or HIVE more or Even more Robots. The other two are a lot easier, but the rewards are the same - so on average a get far too many resources. But i just like the diversity too much

Mind telling me about how to do that,if its not too much a hassle ofc. I like switching things up too so more diversity in that could help a lot
