Parts 1+2+3 = MAC isn't PC
Nothing else to waste my time with.

Good bye, trolls.

**EXASPERATED SIGH** part3:

if YOU (or anyone!) happens to know the exact cause of the crash on a MAC, then please enlighten all of us with your knowledge, share the error in the code and the steps needed to fix it.

If you do not know the reason. Then ... "no one has ever figured out why" is still valid.

Don't call me out as "wrong" on a statement that is indeed, actually "correct".
RustyDios May 8 @ 9:17am
@Zyxpsilon
**EXASPERATED SIGH** part2:

And that is not to say that it cannot be figured out, as your next message states (summarised), just that no one has done that ... yet.

I'm also not curtailing/attacking your freedom of expression in any way either. But I am correcting YOUR false statement/information .. if YOU want to call someone out as "wrong", check your own facts first.
RustyDios May 8 @ 9:16am
@Zyxpsilon
**EXASPERATED SIGH** part1:

This round of back-and-forth between us started because YOU called me out as "wrong" on the statement of "no one ever figured out why" .... which is incorrect.

My statement was not wrong.

Yes this mod, as you stated: "PS; Astral Descend's (and gang) mod works just fine here." .. does indeed work perfectly fine .. on a WINDOWS BASED PC.
.. however my comment specifically related to this mod on a MAC iOS as was the discussion. Which has issues. Repeatably shown/manifesting as a crash around the first Retaliation mission ... and (I'll correct it so you are happy) :: "to my knowledge, thus far, no one has ever figured out why, this mod crashes, on that operating system, at that specific juncture"

@Zyxpsilon
pretty sure we are on Steam, and that anyone can remove messages or comments if the proper rights are given...

There isn't any freedom of expression on someone's else mod, that's basic logic.
And if you wish, I'll even say it in french so you understand it better,

"Ferme la, merci"
Zyxpsilon May 3 @ 5:40am
@Soul... Yup, that sums it all up.
Between skills and anyone's attitude(s) - if someone claims *IMPOLITELY*, I couldn't or still can't help - it's theirs from the past and even for the present.

I stepped to some 'challenge' & his weird remark - should have known *HE* again would hit and insult whatever i share or simply write online.
So F'c' him too.

Nobody has a right to attack other's "Freedom of Expression". He tried, he still fails, he will forever.

PS; Astral Descend's (and gang) mod works just fine here.
Soul May 2 @ 7:21am
Man all that to say "its possible,so just... do it"
MrCloista May 2 @ 7:10am
Aka "Cease your prattling you mewling quim"
RustyDios May 2 @ 7:08am
@Zypsilon
That's all fair and good but still doesn't answer or alter the initial phrase...
thus far, no-one has figured out why THIS mod, crashes on MAC.

If you happen to know the EXACT code line that needs fixing then please share it with us.

Otherwise, with all due respect, fuck off.
As stated repeatably, previously, in various other forms of contact, between steam and discord ::
I do not wish to have anymore dealings with you, please stop @'ing me in stuff. Continuing to do so is just abusive, stalker-like and borderline harassment.
MrCloista May 2 @ 7:03am
The only part of that you needed to say was the last bit.
Zyxpsilon May 2 @ 5:48am
@CyberVC & @Soul

Okay then... let's declare the exact method to fix such compatibility issue between PC and MAC.

Master the coding tricks of *Linux* to refine --this-- mod declarations and its custom UC class file.

Meaning, help comes from the skills someone can either find or acquire directly from the authors team of multiple other codes which already discovered a variety of proper solutions.

All i've wrote (somehow) is that knowledge is found after years of education. Coders & modders earned and/or paid + worked for these skills.

Example; My "SwappIMG" toolset mod that provides external controls of procedural hooks to GFX assets. Highly technical stuff that TWO of us had to work on together for months.

Yes, so - good luck... there ARE plenty of UC solutions in many other XC2 mods on Steams.

Like
"Both my laptops have such variable & distinct custom calibrations"

"The structural codes aren't dependant on synchronized or mutual dispatch calls --- as DEFINED by dual but still external controls."

Thats just stuff I could say like "the internal structure is repurposed to limit the integral damage of providing different values to call the calibrations needed to add compatibility"
Cyber Von Cyberus May 1 @ 10:53am
@Zyxpsilon, that wasn't an insult, we'd love to hear your insight if you think you have an idea to solve this probelm, but what you've said is simply incomprehensible and full of made up terms.
Zyxpsilon May 1 @ 5:01am
@Dragon32 (only and not RustyDios) for this specific comment...

Gee man, are you trying to insult my communicating ability in perfecto snobby British English?

You are '''almost''' right.. because in Québec/Canada some (me also) of us are born as Francophone with EXTREME pride of our cultural origins.
And -- being bilingual in North America is a must.

Soooooooo;
Por Favor, Niet -- Irogato.
Is this reply polite enough for a vast majority of highly variable incognito readers here and online??
;)

*** Peace on Earth and let's hope together "hate" will stop for eternity. ***

Gracias. Got that?

@Zyxpsilon
I understand the individual words you use, but the phrases and the whole? That's just gibberish.
Zyxpsilon Apr 30 @ 4:54am
@RustyDios,

Quote; ** no one ever figured out why **

Wrong...
Firaxis developped XCom as a (---/PC\---) OS with a few indirect provisions for critical (minimal) compatibility MAC factors.

The structural codes aren't dependant on synchronized or mutual dispatch calls --- as DEFINED by dual but still external controls.

Then, the whole trick for modders is to TRY adapting any if not all booting conflits. Both my laptops have such variable & distinct custom calibrations.
RustyDios Apr 30 @ 1:18am
load order for xcom2 doesn't really matter and isn't controllable by the player much anyway

this mod has always had issues on a MAC unfortunately (same as LWotC), no one ever figured out why, but it has something to do with internal file structure of the MAC vs Windows versions.. the crash happens normally after or during the first retaliation. Yet there is nothing code wise that should make it happen. :( one of the mysteries of xcom2 modding :(
Austere Hare Apr 30 @ 12:35am
there was a time, i had the load order right, and couldplay without any crashes, but i uninstalled and cannot for the life of me find that load order. :steamfacepalm:
Stukov81-T.TV Apr 29 @ 11:55pm
this mod has always had issues with mac. afaik a solution has never been found
Austere Hare Apr 29 @ 9:38pm
this mod has stopped working for me. What is the load order? i play on a mac and cannot run the advanced mod loader thing.
Desert Punk Apr 28 @ 11:53am
cope
Stukov81-T.TV Apr 28 @ 3:49am
your ranting isn't better in the slightest
Desert Punk Apr 28 @ 2:17am
Ok, thanks for your take on the situation, random dude.
Good to know Soul is a 'helpful person' when he's not busy crashing out and throwing hissy fits.
I'll be sure to bear that in mind, as you clearly feel that your opinion is important.

I think his deranged ranting speaks for itself, personally.
Stukov81-T.TV Apr 27 @ 11:39pm
@Desert Punk maybe you just take a step back and reconsider how you started this discussion. And for what it's worth Soul is one of the most helpful people here.
Desert Punk Apr 27 @ 7:15pm
lmao thanks for admitting you're SUPER mad, i guess
Soul Apr 27 @ 7:14pm
Just gonna report and move on,keep outing yourself
Soul Apr 27 @ 7:12pm
Didn't ask lol
Desert Punk Apr 27 @ 7:11pm
Thanks for confirming you have some kind of educational disadvantage, Soul. You literally type like an angry little kid.
Go touch some grass and maybe stop projecting so hard, its sincerely difficult to parse out exactly what you're trying to say when you're so busy trying to put words in my mouth and making weird jumps of logic.
Bro randomly capitalizes words and repeats the same thing slightly re-worded multiple times. I'm sorry you've got something actually wrong with you.
Soul Apr 27 @ 7:04pm
How bout you test things up before opening your fat mouth going "its buggy" if you KNOW its a fking conflict then act pissy when someone call it out,are you being a moron on purpose? Instant going to insults, what a kid.

Like Evil understood, cause he have a BRAIN,if it was actually buggy, more would say it,DUH.
So its not on it,its on another mod and boohoo you have to find it like a big boy in your claimed mini mod list, sorry it hurt you I said it outloud for you to get it?

Just say from the start "its too hard with it I'm a child who don't like hard stuff" instead of looking for excuses to not use it,seeing how hard you cry about it.
EvilBob22 Apr 27 @ 6:39pm
I think you are reading malice into Soul's comment that isn't there. I see it as less, "obviously it's a mod conflict," and more, "it's probably a mod conflict, if LS by itself was so buggy, the comments would make it obvious."

I expect you've already disabled LS, so it doesn't really matter, but I would look again at potential mod conflicts. LS only adds instant projects and doesn't have an engineer slot. So, you having problems with the project completing with an engineer assigned means there is definitely something else making changes to the living quarters at the very least.
Desert Punk Apr 27 @ 5:37pm
@Soul very helpful. I have barely any mods running besides the requirements for C.I. and nothing that would affect Living Space. Glad to hear "hurr obviously its a mod conflict" like I couldn't have pieced together that something was amiss. How about you do the rest of us a favor and shut the fuck up?

@Rusty good to get some actual information from someone who actually has something to share.

I get that you're probably kinda socially challenged, Soul, but acting like a pretentious redditor doesn't really do anything besides demonstrate how neurodivergent you are.
RustyDios Apr 26 @ 10:09pm
AS replied in the LS-Redux.
You can already play play this version of CI without it. Living Space and Prototype Armoury are not hard requirements. They are part of the intended balanced experience though.

Again, sorry you ran into issues.
Soul Apr 26 @ 8:48pm
Yeah then thats a mod conflict mah dude, else obviously everyone would yell about it if it was on Living space, check your modlist
Desert Punk Apr 26 @ 6:17pm
can we get a version of this mod that doesn't require Living Space? it's buggy and sucky and I can't get a single upgrade to the Crew Quarters to even build correctly, the game sticks at -1 hours remaining even with an engineer assigned to the project.
Living Space is also kind of just a pointless chore mod that doesn't really add anything to the experience besides hassle. I absolutely love the other aspects of Covert Infiltration, and I think the mod overall would be a lot better without Living Space as a hard requirement.
Blazing Camel Gaming Apr 3 @ 3:26pm
@Stukov81-T.TV yes I've researched Magnetic Weapons and Gauss weapons. I also have the mod that shows you what each research unlocks and none of the remaining researches reference the helix cannon
Stukov81-T.TV Apr 3 @ 9:37am
did you research gauss weapons allready?
Blazing Camel Gaming Apr 3 @ 9:15am
For some reason, I don't have access to the magnetic tier of the SPARK weaponry (probably the plasma tier too, but I haven't made it that far in my campaign).

I'm using this mod, Sparks B Gone, Mec Troopers Redux, and several of the bridge overhaul mods for individually built items (100s of others, but these are the ones that seem related).

Does anyone know why the Spark weaponry isn't showing up, and if it possible to get it fixed mid campaign? I'm dozens of hours in and don't want to restart, but I have several Mec Troopers who are going to quickly become useless.
RustyDios Mar 12 @ 7:14am
you are missing one (or more) required mods/dlc's
mingmong01 Mar 12 @ 6:14am
Anyone had a error message when loading game from AML
appDebugMessagef
"Error detected attempting load of package: CovertInfiltration"
Agane Mar 6 @ 2:29am
Right on, posted there. Another thing I noticed while fishing for another supply raid to test after disabling the parcel mod is that it once again skipped the mission I initially got and I had to scan all the way till may 30th - for my(technically) very first supply raid. Are they just completely random? What happened is essentially this: I got a raid at the end of march, but reloaded before it popped -> didn't get it again until april -> got the box bug so I reloaded before it popped -> didn't get the raid again until may 30th, which was not in abandoned city despite being the first supply raid in that campaign, technically.

It just seems as if information that I had a raid pop up somehow got confirmed, but because I loaded back it put in another mission instead. Or maybe just really really unlucky but there's no way you're supposed to play CI without a raid for alloys until june that's completely cooked.
RustyDios Mar 5 @ 7:49am
This would be a mappack error. The main plot parcel did not have the correct objective tags. If you can report on the eclipszer map mod you are using and give as much details as possible that would be great. (map, screenshots, mission type, etc)
Stukov81-T.TV Mar 5 @ 7:48am
map mods
Agane Mar 5 @ 7:44am
My supply raid mission didn't spawn any boxes to mark - anyone knows what could cause this?

The objective was still written out at the top left but no chest was revealed at the beginning of the map and I revealed the whole map to confirm not a single box spawned. This was at the end of april which was pretty late, and I think there was a supply raid in march that popped but, but I had to load an earlier save and then it's almost like it skipped the march mission. Might be unrelated idk. Also I had Eclipsezr parcels and Eclipsezr EW/EWI parcels enabled - maybe they altered the mission? Modlist is stuff from Odd's season 7 & 9 modlists. Lots of stuff, but I played with a similar setup before and didn't encounter this.
Elskrises Feb 18 @ 7:00am
Experimental Ammo proving grounds project is bugged for me, when it's finished I don't get a pop up and any ammo. Not sure if it's caused by this or prototype armoury though
GreatOldOne Feb 18 @ 4:34am
I am running a ton of mods, as well as this one. The problem is that the pacing of new missions of all types popping up is insane, amounting to several a day of game time. How do I tune down how often assault and covert missions pop up? The pace makes it impossible to progress the campaign unless I am willing to look at every Dark Event listed in red on the left side of the screen.
RustyDios Feb 8 @ 6:56pm
A) Run TRUE Primary secondaries it relieves a lot of these issues.
B) Plenty of Bridge mods exist for custom weaponry and if they don't it's just config work to make them happen
C) I've never had any issues with any weapon mod once it's been setup correctly running Prototype armoury

D) You don't NEED to run Prototype Armoury, the game will complain about it missing, the expected balance will be off, but you can run this mod and use Squad-upgrades perfectly fine.
