Drones are bugy?
Can it be that drones are slightly bugged?
Bombers, for example, get stuck on mountains and do not fly further, or minigun drones do not shoot at first, you can stand directly in front of them but nothing happens. I've noticed a few times now. New game with fresh start and latest RE update. then usually looks like this:

i was just about to post on here asking if it was just me. had multiple rocket and minigun drones not shooting at me at all. in vehicles they do but on foot they just ignore you it seems. im thinking they are bugged because in vanilla i had a rocket drone kill me

I've given up on it, but with drones that don't do anything but fly weirdly high down and get stuck on mountains it's no fun.
Supposedly it is a user error or savegame error, just weird as well as my server was completely clean rebuilt as well as in the single player in both the drones do not work, plus some red error messages in the console because textures are missing etc. I now play again Vanilla......

It's likely a game bug (of some kind) since nothing changed for drones or their weapons.
I will try to check it out this weekend.

In space it also happens, plasma or laser drone they do attack but do not shoot. AI on brings no change scenario and EGS completely reinstalled new savegame whether on server or singelplay. If I start a vanilla game with the same installation, the drones behave correctly. Something is therefore not right.
