Yes - since silver was added. Make sure you are in Zirax territory first though.

Random poi generation? On any planet? I’m pretty sure I’ve visited three to five of each planet and moon type. Ah yes! I found the VitaLife, but the NPC quest asked me to get some gas which I didn’t have. So I had to find an NPC that sells gas, but that NPC wanted filters I believe… so I never got the filters and haven’t found another seller yet.

Chemmix traders I've found in "Processing Plants" and Chromium Sierra in a "Science Facility". Took 4 days to find that last one.

Plenty of orbital Gas Harvesters though (not Gas Refineries) - they've always wanted a lot of booze from me and which you can get from trade stations in small quantities. Breweries sell liquor in bulk but they've always wanted something from Vitalife which have always wanted something from Chromium Sierra which ... took a long time to find.

Superconductors can find in the polaris teritory only on the planet the station is called electronics Factory the trade is at the right side at the doors and he want stuff from you.

Can also loot them from the Zirax Electronics Factory, The Abandoned Factory and can be bought from QuantumStar traders on most trade stations.

i visited lot of polaris quantumstar traders never found them?

You unlock shield upgrades in the tech tree and can craft all but the highest tier with regular components. Only the T3 need an item that you trade for, not get in ultra rare containers.

The fact remains that ultra rare loot was greatly improved with the removal of "junk" items like emergency rations and ammo.

i am glad i am playing singe player.

after 2 days of searching i decided to "buy" them from myself, adding them using the item menu and throwing 12k credits (thats about what they go for) in the trash for every superconductor i "bought" :)

Are these factories only found in Polaris space and only on planets? I'm collecting drone parts and have yet to see one.

Superconductors havent yet found, spent like 4 evenings on that. At kennex there are too few and not cheap

I've given up on this. haven't played in a while. just wasn't fun spending days looking for all the things I need to do upgrades. And where I used to have tons of fun killing and looting bases, instead, has become a slog of bullethell mazes in indestructible bases with disappointing or stingy loot boxes. space battles have become a game of, how much ammunition can your ship hold, and do you really think it will be enough to kill that ship... and if you do core the ship, will there be any loot left worth looting?

I found large quantities of them in neutral space, habitable systems, barren moons, polaris land stations called something like "Thermal industries" selling heat exchangers and radiation shielding (100+ of each), and something like "Solar AMC" selling the superconductors, again by batches of over a 100. Not sure about the names, but the "thermal" and "solar" parts should be enough of a lead. They are blocked behind quests, of course. Doing quests or going from stations to stations for less than 10 units is a waste, just look for a few of the big tickets, plant down a teleporter base next to them, and you'll be set. Oh, and the solar one also sells fusion cores, 5+ of them, if I recall correctly.
