Question for a dev
Can't talk in the discord so I can only ask here. I've read that you have been grappling with an object limit for a while now. I was wondering if replacing the function of governor with something like a diplomat (or merchant) would cut down on the expanse of family members (and their trees) and the impact on the limit. Or do even units like that count as part of family tree?

Not a dev, but based on an interview with one of them that just came out on Red Zed's youtube channel, they're hitting the 64,000 entity limit for the entire campaing map. That includes buildings, units, family members, agents, resource nodes (visible and hidden), etc

Yes, they had to remove a lot of stuff to lower the limit. They've said it's solved now. I just had a thought that if you could replace family members with a semi equivalent "agent" it would cut down on family trees which would grow very large over a long campaign.

Dev here! The game would offer new generals for adoption so that wouldn't solve it plus we can't really make diplomats into anything else.

I see. I figured that was the likely outcome.

Question: is the original Roma Surrectum 2 music present in the mod? The soundtrack is awesome and helped build epic atmosphere.

it is indeed. :)
Good day!!! I wanna ask about the Roman troops. There are no auxiliary troops, no legionary cavalry, no skirmishers. I mean when the maximum level of barracks and recruitment center. You can immediately hire protorean cavalry, without legion cavalry and auxiliary cavalry, without light horsemen. Do you plan to improve the unit roster in the future?

Not the dev, but I can tell you romans aren't done yet. They are the subject of the next big patch though. I've been waiting for that update as well.
and when we can get next update? approximately....
They don't really do etas. "When it's done is the typical answer." This year sometime most likely.

clear
Thank you so much for all of your efforts
I will make a humble request for a Han Dynasty to be included as an emerging faction somehow.
While playing as Sparta, new adopted/coming of age generals in Sparta don't move very far and seem to be anchored. They move as if they only have about 2% left of their available movement points. Don't know if its the actual game or mod. Only 2 Generals in Sparta the third is the faction leader he and the troops can move the other 2 new generals cannot go far at all. This happened turn 102 ish
