@Apple
Is there a possibility to become a beta tester for this mod?
Apple  [author] 21 hours ago
@emanuelep90 quite sure it was removed in the last update.
emanuelep90 Nov 6 @ 2:38pm
@Apple I saw an "Extreme mode" in some content creators on youtube, that should make AI more aggressive. How can be activated?
Apple  [author] Nov 6 @ 6:56am
@emanuelep90 RTW AI... the best you can do is to reload the save as often as you can. Aka for absolute best AI, every turn (loading into a battle also counts). Also play on Hard Campaign difficulty.
emanuelep90 Nov 6 @ 6:06am
First of all, thank you for this beautiful mod and outstanding map!
I noticed that AI is very passive: even if I'm playing in Very Hard difficulty, as Syracuse I could easily conquer all Sicily with almost no reaction from Carthage, even if there is a big armee in the island, that almost did nothing and let my armee conquer all of the cities. The same is now happening in South Italy with Romans. How is it possible? Same in my Spartan game, I could easily conquer the Peloponnes and all the Antigon's cities in the region, with almost no reaction

can someone help me
Apple  [author] Oct 31 @ 12:22pm
@Kraslan def not this year. Can't say more than that as it all depends on who has free time do key work. We are doing loads of changes each week but it takes hours and hours to create each thing. Just a new building line takes 50-100+ hours alone, and units takes up a heck of a lot of time as well. The best way to get the release faster is to join in and help develop it.
Kraslan Oct 31 @ 8:46am
@Apple Do you guys have a rough estimate of when this update will be out?
Apple  [author] Oct 30 @ 1:02pm
@HarleQuinKO Yes, we are hard working on the Roman update which will have many other changes and fixes. It won't be out this year. For more info follow our discord. :)
HarleQuinKO Oct 30 @ 3:45am
Are there any updates planned for this modification?
Zero Oct 29 @ 5:27pm
This mod is insane, one day I will give it a go but its really overwhelming, I admire everything put into it and look forward to seeing what it can become
Apple  [author] Oct 29 @ 12:22pm
Yeah we can't mod auto resolves. However it's good to know that CAMPAIGN difficulty is a major part in it. If you have it on hard then the AI will get auto resolve bonuses and on VH even more so.
FSgt. A. Switz [3rd MAR] Oct 28 @ 10:58am
Broseidon_94, the auto-battle mechanic is non-moddable. In fact, all Total War games from Shogun 1->Rome 2 had the same issue with them being ridiculously inaccurate. I took a break from TW and did not pick it up again until Three Kingdoms and I almost fainted when I saw they FINALLY fixed it lmao!
Broseidon_94 Oct 27 @ 1:56pm
I do really like this mod and love the ambition and scale that the developers have done in bringing the ancient world to life with Imperium Surrectum. My biggest gripe with the mod, however, is how ridiculous the autoresolve can be for settlements with just two or three units in the settlement. Somehow, even with poverty units or two skirmishers in a settlement, the ai is somehow able to rack up casualties in the thousands of a crack army of elite army of phalangites, peltasts and hetairoi. I really don't want to have to fight an annoying ,grinding siege to the death against a small garrison every single turn
Iceni Total War Oct 24 @ 7:00am
@Buddy Games either Console or disbanding multiple stacks of cheap troops there or searching through your Generals that have any good growth traits and moving them in to the settlement you want to grow.
Buddy Games Oct 24 @ 4:31am
yes, ik. But even Rome cant become Huge city. But i guess ill use the console thx
Iceni Total War Oct 23 @ 7:06pm
@Buddy Games did you check the 3rd FAQ 👆 ? You'll need a different starting settlement to reach Huge City level to trigger the Reforms. If you can't grow a settlement you can always use the console ~ to add population, use of console will disable Steam achievement though .
Buddy Games Oct 23 @ 10:14am
Hello, Im playing as the Romans but i cant make Rome into a huge city by any means. Im at turn 150 and i still dont have the reformed units. What can i do?
Apple  [author] Oct 19 @ 2:10pm
@{BE} ;) All I can say is next year. We got loads of things to do still.
{BE} ;) Oct 19 @ 10:41am
Apple, i want to try this, but migth wait for the update( 900 vs 300 turns ) any idea of aprox date of the next update ? :)
thx !
Apple  [author] Oct 19 @ 8:15am
@Melvi A lof of those issues have likely been fixed already in our dev version and will come in the next major update next year. :)
Apple  [author] Oct 19 @ 8:14am
@Dayne you can mod it. Red Z has videos showing how.
Melvi Oct 19 @ 1:53am
In regards of reforms: 3rd and 4th ones fired when requisites were met and new units appeared. Working on 1st and 2nd. It is turn 110 and Memphis just started building the councilors chamber.
Melvi Oct 19 @ 1:49am
Some stuff i fount while playing Ptolemaic campaign. ( i am loving it)
- City of Mendes in Delta Nilou lacks road visuals, you can construct them, but you dont see them in map, i dont know if you get the effects of movement speed, trade , etc.
- City of Premnis, down south Nilou river, close to Kush area has a basic farming level of 1% while all other cities in the area have 3% or more. It really struggles to grow.
-While trying to construct ports in ptolemaic cities the icon you see is the one from wester greek culture. Once you click on it to add it to the queue it turns to normal easter greek culture ones. It happens with tier 1 and 2 at least.
Dayne Oct 17 @ 3:29pm
Is there any way I can play Media Atropatene?
Apple  [author] Oct 14 @ 1:09pm
@GeneralPoniatowski91 not yet no.
Apple  [author] Oct 14 @ 1:09pm
@harepsol Yes the next major version will not have save corruptions at 300 ish turns. Atm our dev build lets you play for around 900 turns.
GeneralPoniatowski91 Oct 14 @ 7:02am
Are there civil wars in this mod for Rome as faction? Like in Roma surrectum?
harepsol Oct 14 @ 5:56am
@Apple is there any way to counteract the game crashing past 300+ turns? Or a future update that will fix that issue? RTW IS is beyond and outstanding mod and is what RTW should have been when Remastered. It saddens me to know my save file will begin to crap-out once i reach that threshold!
YOU GUYS DESERVE A ROUND OF APPLAUSE! Truly an outstanding mod. Thank you all for the hard work and time invested making this mod!
Chris P. Bacon Oct 13 @ 11:12am
Hey just want to say I've had to clear out so much stuff from my bum laptop, but I'm hyped as hell to play some RTR. Also, is there a forced diplomacy option built in to the mod? And has diplomacy been changed in any way? Thanks again for all the team's work.
Apple  [author] Oct 11 @ 4:20am
@captainducko Swaggers Blood mod (one of our devs) just make sure you place it above RIS
Dalamarious Oct 11 @ 3:41am
@hsf_ You could likely personally modify the files with the buildings and the culture growth modifiers, but from our perspective, we are aiming at creating a mechanism that slows down and forces some consolidation while making use of characters and the special traits/ancillaries they get :)
Dalamarious Oct 11 @ 3:38am
@Healz on Wheelz There is still balancing to be done in certain areas, which includes lowering pop count/raising growth factors in certain regions, we are continuously working on improving this aspect :)
Iceni Total War Oct 11 @ 3:17am
@captainducko Blood effects are included but if you need to enhance it I think I've only ever seen 1 or 2 blood mods on the workshop and don't know if they're compatible.
captainducko Oct 10 @ 10:51am
Is there a blood mod compatiable with this mod
hsf_ Oct 9 @ 8:03am
Great mod, one of the best I've played in any game. But just out of curiosity, is there a way to shorten the build/recruit time as well as increase the settlement growth rate slightly?

Thanks.
Healz on Wheelz Oct 6 @ 1:29pm
Hey, thanks for the mod, genuinely incredible achievement. Just wondering: Is it a bug or a feature that in some cities my mainline government buildings have massive pop growth reduction modifiers? As in, -5% at minor city level. But in other cities the reduction is massively smaller, as in -1% at minor city level?
Apple  [author] Oct 3 @ 9:17am
@wyattsprecher You have to activate it in the Feral launcher.
Apple  [author] Oct 3 @ 9:16am
@Ray Getardo Just like in vanilla. The AI will recruit them though if you play on hard or Very Hard and might take them all.
Gaybriel Angelos Oct 3 @ 4:20am
How do you recruit mercenaries in this mod? ive tried dozens of times now and i never seem to find any in the pool for recruitment. to clarify i understand where the menu to recruit them is, its just non ever actually show up
wyattsprecher Oct 2 @ 8:24pm
How can i get this mod to load? I downloaded the mod and it keeps coming up as vanilla. is there something i have to do special?
DiorSavage💴 Oct 2 @ 2:48am
does anyone know why i cant play my save game no more after 3 turns, its CTD
Coatsey Sep 29 @ 10:52am
Wish Bosporan had all the complete unit roster from the original Roma surrectum on the og Rome TW They where so fun and unique to play back in the day
AcE Sep 27 @ 1:30pm
Went from Ultra to medium and still crashing for me. :(
Not sure what it can be. I have a pretty decent rig so cant be that,
Apple  [author] Sep 27 @ 11:52am
@Ace Yeah you have to do it manually.
AcE Sep 27 @ 10:40am
Thanks Legend! The PC setting were on recommended setting, but maybe that was for the standard game and I have to lower for this mod. Will give it a go. :)
Apple  [author] Sep 27 @ 9:43am
@AcE if it's 300+ turns in then it's nothing you can really do. If it's less then you prob need to lower your settings. RIS is way harder to run than Vanilla as we use higher quality, more textures per units etc.
