@Apple: As Antigonids the "Illyrian Epilektoi" AOR unit has a peasant image on the unit card. My 'Unit Colour Scheme' is already on Realistic.

The mod plays for me bug lags imensly , honestly I have a 4090 x and SSD etc intel top of the line I stay like 1-2 minutes on an end turn since turn 1 , it take a very long time for a turn to finish, but I love the mod.

Really like the new tweaks to this mod, in particular the farming/taxing economic system. Really makes it a challenge.

However, one thing I am noticing which irks the history buff in me is the 2 turn recruitment for every unit.

The AOR is great for creating realistic legions as Rome with Allied Cavalry and Auxillia but because of how long and expensive it is to maintain a basic army I find myself just creating Italic Spams and being unable to disband them. In pre-marian Rome these armies would have been disbanded following the campaign's conclusion.

Additionally, Rome tended to have standardized armies where no matter whether you were in Spain or Syria the Roman make-up was the same.

I would suggest 0 turn recruitment for legions in Rome, Arretium, Capua, and Tarentum. Would end this vexing issue and make Rome more aggressive under AI control.

@Apple thanks for the suggestion. I'll upgrade to NVIDIA version 555.85 and try again. I was able to get to Turn 35 this time (as Byzantium) before it CTD'd on me. Btw the music on this mod is fantastic, really digging the Greek tunes.

Gods the campaign map is so big, I think the engine is failing to handle it. Despite a very beefy PC turn times take very long and the campaign crashes within a few turns.. 0_0

@Apple Unfortunately, I'm experiencing the same thing like Gork mentioned. I have a beefy PC. Maybe it's something to do with the 40series cards but I'm having the same issue as him.

I really want to love this mod. The scale is breathtaking and surpasses even Paradox's grand strategy in terms of sheer map size and amount of territory you can paint as your own. Unfortunately I can't for the life of me get it to be stable. I get constant end-of-turn crashes (which admittedly can still be an issue for Vanilla) which causes me to have to retire that save since it crashes immediately after I hit the end-of-turn button after even a low number of total turns (like 4 turns from the start of the game).

@Alpha Leopard I've had no problem with Steam Achievements in any RR mod, sometimes using the console ~ command during campaigns will disable them for the duration of that campaign.

Roma Surrectum for the original RTW was IMO a better mod in a lot of ways with a mixture of slower paced empire development and a fast paced 0 turn recruitment of many of the levy and semi-professional units, which made the game quite entertaining and satisfying both in battle and on the larger strategic map.

As much as I appreciate RTR: Imperium Surrectum's scale and complexity it is hog that plays slow, runs slow and for many turns very much tedious and un-fun.

The combat mechanics from RS and the gloriously modeled units is about the only thing that saves this mod for me, that and custom battles.

Yeah... fresh install, followed all instructions exactly, start game as Sparta and crash on the end of turn 2 whilst on Egypt. It seems the mod is a bit broken right now? Shame.

Presently this mod is unplayable, i have tried numerous campaigns with different factions and the moment you play manual battle its CTD. Very unfortunate, I sincerely look forward to when the team can fix this.

yes its mod specific, there is no point playing past turn 100 or 150, the game just cant handle it. engine limitations or something. ive done multiple campaigns all end with a crash somewhere. most of the time it just ends when every single battle crashes. not to mention the map looks like puke and makes my eyes bleed. i wish it had a much smaller map and cleaner map. remastered has just been left as a complete mess of a game. really unstable.

Great mod, I don't think I can go back to vanilla. I've been having fun and there have been no previous crashes up until my current turn. every time I try to end my turn I get a crash to desktop on Chersonesus turn (or maybe Cimbri, right at their start). I have tried going to a previous save from the turn before this one to see if that changes anything, but it does not. either way the game will crash on Chersonesus. I tried verifying my game files and restarting my computer. I read something about running "disable_ai" on the game console, but that did not work whether it is because I don't know what I am doing or because this is not the way to fix this at all.

Could be the location of the battle. Go to the discord bug thread and follow the instructions on how to report but.

I had a similar bug, a while ago. I just had to change locations and couldn't fight the battle where I wanted to fight it. It worked and I was able to move on. Of course not as an strategic location as before but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Great mod however, ive noticed there is a bug where unit icons for most of the units in the game are missing. Instead they're defaulting to slaves/peasant icon making it hard to tell what unit im building in the queue.

Before I try out the new update I am trying to finish my campaign from version 0.6.3. Where can I find v0.6.3 for download? After seeing here on the steam mod page that older versions are located on ModDB I checked but I can only see up to v0.5.5 over there.

Thanks for update managed to finish a short game as Carthage. Keep crashing fairly early when playing Egypt. Hopefully u all can fix the crashes. It crashes when other countries making their moves in my game. Love your mod, hope you can fix the crashes.

great mod, but It will be possible to make a version with fewer provinces (submod), it takes too long for the AI to make its movements (~2 min)

Would it be possible to make a submod or alternative campaign where every faction starts with just one province? I feel like the experience of growing Rome from 1 city to a major power is what I would really love, even if it's not historical.

Mod is great. Released more room on my pc and it runs great now. After the Rome update what will be next? one thing i do wish could happen is that you could eventually make all cities you conquer your own culture. maybe an option that could be applied to the settings?

is there a way to give the hoplites a phalanx style formation? I've seen the hoplites break ranks to attack something behind them before and it really breaks my immersion.

1 small glitch that i'll add in the Discord later, My Massilia victory conditions have disappeared sometime after starting the campaign.
I picked "short" victory in the faction selection screen and alls good, started the campaign and they're visible when clicking on Faction Icon in bottom left but after a few sessions they no longer show up 🤔
