I love this mod but the loadingtimes are insane

I came back after almost a year to start a new campaign...here is my experience

-stare into loading screen for 5-10 min tp launch the game than another 5-10 to launch the campaign
-play 2 turns then game freezes, between that and then reloading the campaign another 20 mins( freezing is propably a rome problem )
-play a battle , another 20 mins of loading screens and 5 mins of actual battle
- game sort of freezes during end turn but unfreezes later on
-autoresolve a battle where i outnumber the enemy more than 5 to 1.lose 2/3 of my army.
reload the game 5 - 10 min. of loding screens then playing the battle another 20 mins of loading before and after
-get attacked on the end turn another 15 min. of staring to a wallpaper
-game freezes up again on end turn but unfreezes again.
- attack an enemy general with my faction leader 1 hoplite and 1 javelin.Crushing defeat on autorelve
- play tha battle myself another 20 mins of loading ,

its been 3 hours and I am only at turn 5

@dmitry.chernukhin Unless I'm mistaken, go to GRAPHICS settings and ON UNIT COLOUR SHEME set it to REALISTIC

@Spartcus..and the others ... Apple will correct me if I'm wrong...currently, as far as I'm concerned, I've never managed to go beyond about 400 turns, failure being random depending on the game. and believe me I've played parts of it..I love this mod (it's the best) this team has done an incredible job which is still in progress and it will be stabilized to be able to play hundreds more turns and invade the entire map but NOT BEFORE the end of the year, their leader having left for a certain period. The official release of this huge update will be done with him for the promotion of this SUPER MOD entirely remastered (I can't wait)

@zef it's very much not dead but an update is far away as it's going to change a lot of things AND bring all the Remastered Romans, italians etc.

Has anyone been able to recruit artillery units? It says "Siege works required" but I'm not seeing that as an option to build anywhere.

Is it possible to make a 1 city start for campaign? Having 40 something cities as Rome or other factions is overwhelming at the start.

is there any ETA on the next update? would love to play this w latest updates as an alternative to EB2 on mtw2 but the campaign map size is kind of ridiculous; seleucid empire has like 20 cities in mesopotamia alone which feels redundant. i still like the larger amount of cities but it feels like a chore to play as the seleucids and not in the good way

@Jon Did you place it at the top of the mod manager ? Are you using any other mods ? Have you tried contacting the creator of the 12 TPY mod ? It's usually upto them to make it compatible with the base mod.

The map is excessive where the majority is just rebel settlements. Great concept but should be tone down by half (especially the non faction areas). Also allies and vassals are pointless on this mod they act as neutrals and cant be used to help in wars and backstab you constantly. I did one game through and was declared war against by only 5 factions (they were all allies).

Playing as the Britons the music is of course amazing but I'm about 15 hours in now and I've not even conquered half of England yet but the music is becoming repetitive. I remember The Romans had some incredible tracks, is there a way to unlock the entire soundtrack so I get a mix of music rather than just the faction specific ones please?

I wonder why my Rhodian slingers can't be upgraded by the Artemis temple? Are slings excluded from this bonus, or is it a bug?

I've always wanted a huge epic map with more factions and cities so I'm enjoying playing this. It does seem like a bit of overkill to have this many though. It would still be huge and epic with half as many cities. Even so it's still playable for me. The lag on the map is noticeable but not unplayable for me like many are saying here.

@tilli the mod is more demanding than vanilla as we use way higher resolution textures, 7 textures per unit, way more factions and cities etc.

It's bulky and lots of cities but so far it is working ok for me. Graphics seem a little dark and hard to see though.

The mod is basically unplayable - the performance is so poor that you cannot even play the game if you turn all settings to ultra low (normal game runs great on ultra). Very unfortunate - sounded great. Can only discourage everyone from downloading as it just does not work...

@Gor1801 Ancona is still in the game. And you don't even need it to trigger the Marian Reforms, 👆 any Roman starting settlement will do except Rome itself.

A lot of battles in my campaign just crash and restarting doesn't help. More and more often you have to use auto-resolve, but going through the campaign this way is not an option. Will this problem be fixed or should I start over?
