First impressions
I know the mod is nowhere near finished. I just want to share my first impressions with you guys.

First of all. I like the new units. I think it's great to try to make the game more realistic.

I noticed a couple of negative things though. In the Vanilla Campaign, for example, Britain is very strong. In the mod, it seems that Britain has no AI. Nothing is built and no units are recruited.

Spain is also very weak, but at least a few units are being recruited there.

Gaul also looks a little weaker. Maybe because they now have a settlement in Asia Minor, which leads to the AI splitting up their forces.

I'm a little bit unsure about Rome. I know that Rome was a rising world power back then, but in the mod you get pretty strong very quickly because you own the cities of all three families. Gaul and Spain can be overrun relatively quickly if you want to.

Either you do a Imperium Surrectum light version with the three Roman families or Gaul and Britain should be much stronger so that there are other serious opponents in the north besides the Germans.

As I said, I know the mod is nowhere near finished. I just wanted to share my thoughts with you.

they said they are going to make a new map: in this they will probably adress balancing concerns. They also said they will split the game into two campaigns further putting the focus on rome, something that will also adress balance. be patient and I think this team will do a lot in the comming months/years.

I think before that we will definitely look to fix some of the economics.

From what I can remember of the original Rome Total Realism, Rome started with just 3 cities, Rome, Capua and the third name escapes me sorry, the northern cities of Italy Ariminum and Arretium were rebel held, and the South were held by the Epirus Greeks, this to me was a much more balanced start as a Rome player... please don't get me wrong, this is not a dig at the mod... this was and still is my favoured mod of the original Rome Total War.. and I do love what you are doing with this one... just my honest opinion and feedback.

Yeah that would probably be for the best. In the Grand Campaign Rome can be purposely made Overpowered to Guarantee it becoming a World Power that way the other Factions can have a Chance to Shine. So that in the Roman Only Campaign Rome can have a Historical Weak start where they need to struggle their way to the top in the Shadow of the Greek Empires of the East. And then my Prior suggestion on the deleted preview workshop entry to add emergant factions, Existential Crisis event factions (like Hannibal or Cimbri Invasion), and a deticated Roman Civil War Faction to add to both Challenge and Historical Realism can absolutely be implemented!

I would prefer they try to recreate Roma Surrectum's campaign map

I suspect this has been addressed already, but the campaign map is super dark. Sometimes it's difficult to see what you're doing.
