Gene splicer
I need help with the gene splicer please. I feel like I am missing something. I feed a paragon to a dino then place it near the gene splicer but no options ever show up to do anything. Not like they are greyed out. Like the options don’t exist. I have seen on other videos that their splicer has a platform under the floating object while mine doesn’t. I even made a second one to see if that was the issue. Please help me. This seems like a very fun part of the mod. Thank you.

so you cannot select the female of your special breeding pair?
as the female has to be selected first

There are no options to select anything. I open the splicer and it has the sort of instructional writing at the top but there is nothing to select at all on the bottom.

Can only certain types of dinosaurs cross breed? Like only uniques. I added a paragon to a beta female allosaurus and set it next to the splicer.

yes only specific species can cross breed like gallimimus and lamprey as one combination, the others are listed in the genesplicer if you open the list

and uniques can only breed with uniques
they can be the crossbreed species or the same species

The problem is that there is no list when I access the splicer. There is nothing to select at all. No splice or list of dino combinations. No highlighted or greyed out boxes at the bottom. Just a blank page on the lower half of the gene splicer Home Screen menu.

that sounds like the behavior of the game when a building is partially inside the wall or ground

Did you set your genesplicer on a foundation or on the bare terrain?

I can’t place it on bare terrain. I tried it on a foundation and then to see if something was being hidden I set it directly on 1 pillar. From every video I have seen. It is always a diamond floating over a platform. All I have is a diamond. I even went into ghost mode to see if part of it was hidden under ground. The little diamond just floats over whatever I set it on and doesn’t work sadly.
