Performance issue
Hi there, i'm having very low framerate at the scene where you rescue the engineer, it's like a big train station/storage. From a rock solid 100FPS to ~30FPS running on a RTX3060, even lowering the graphic options to minimum, anyone else with this issue?

FYI: CPU i7-11700K

Yes, there are several areas in the game where the performance drops considerably, regardless of the options used.
The one where we save Ronnie for example, with all those rotating yellow beacons was especially very affected.

We're gonna make a performance boost with the next update but in order to do it right, we need some information from all of you.
Please post your system specs
-RAM
-Graphics Device
-CPU
-Screen Resolution
These are the most relevant for us. Also, please tell us if you're playing on a Laptop or a stationary PC. This DOES make a huge difference.

Please post your video configuration settings
We need pretty much all of them. It might be better to link a screenshot if you don't want to write all of this down.

Please enter +showbudget into the developer console. You'll get a bar graph like output of your current resource usage for all the rendering processes involved on what you currently see on screen. (-showbudget to disable the output again)
You can also link a screenshot here OR name us the processes with the most performance impact.

Also please tell us exactly WHEN the pefromance drops.
-On looking to a certain spot
-In a specific area of the game
-After a certain ammount of time spent in the map
-After a certain event within the game

Hi there,

I'm having troubles when toggling the dev console. The key assigned didn't work, but here is a trick:

Add the "-console" parameter on the link of the blueshift that has been created on your desktop, open the game (which will have the dev console enabled), enter the command "+showbudget " and then "toggleconsole" in order to being able to click on the UI (or just open the map you want with the command "map THE_MAP", the first one for the 4th chapter is "map bs_c3m0a"). Anyway, after doing this, I'm being able to toggle the console with the assigned key.

However, using the "+showbudget" doesn't work by it self, console will return:

> +showbudget
VProf enabled.
VProf disabled.

Remember turning on the cheats before on your console!!
"sv_cheats 1"

Thanks, hope this helps anyone, I'll post you detailed feedback as soon as I can.

Regards.

Hello @Cyvo

I'm posting here a link to a PDF with some screenshots of the spots where I get FPS drops, and a screenshot of the map topside down pointing to the suspicius area.

Performance dropped significantly at the end of Ch. 4, once the teleporter room was powered up, after inserting the keycard. I went from 140 fps to 50, then to 40 once the portal was open.

Desktop
Ryzen 5800X3D
RTX 3080 10GB
DDR4 32GB 3600-16
4K resolution (using DLDSR, native res is 1440p)

Thanks for your great work

so my performance issues were numerious most of chapter 4 has fps drops from my 120 fps cap running solid down to sub 50 with less than 30% utilization on my gpu and under 5% on my cpu but still running at low 40's. i mostly noticed this in the railway areas outside, i didn't notice any drops wile inside.

my setup is
Desktop
Ryzen 3600X
RTX 2080 super
32 GB of 3200 mhz ram
1080p res running borderless fullscreen, seems to be better with fullscreen but stil sub 60 during drops
on max settings.

Weapon view jitters when walking
Every weapon does this. It looks like Barney is having a spasm attack. I've tried closing the game and starting a new chapter but it doesn't fix it. The sprinting animation doesn't have this issue though. Any fix?

DXVK

Works fine with old UI. Exits to desktop when starting a new game with new UI.

Spent an hour or two trying to get the game to run and I think the crashes (at least in my case) are related to graphics settings. It's very consistent in all 3 play options. If I change any graphics settings at the main menu, apply them, then try and load a save or start a chapter, it instantly crashes. When I start the game again my graphics setting are all set as defaults. However, if I load a save or start a chapter without touching any settings before that, the game will load normally and I can then change and apply my graphics settings and play. I only had one crash after that when there was a loading screen and another when I tried to manually load a save. The continue button on the main menu and auto loads from death don't cause a crash, just manually doing it does. Hope that helps, having some very cool nostalgia vibes playing game is awesome.
