Black Mesa: Blue Shift

Some puzzles need work
I'm really liking this mod, but it seems like whenever I get to a puzzle I get stuck for an unfun amount of time. The worst offender so far has been the one about destroying the grinder with explosive crates. I kept thinking I needed to get to the red pipes and walk along them to get to the room above to move or release the hanging crate. It turns out I just needed to shoot a small part it's hanging from? It wasn't well telegraphed at all. I think that's the main thing about all the puzzles. They just done in a way where what's happening isn't obvious enough.

Sounds like you didn't play the original Blue Shift. The Blue Shift mod for Black Mesa is much better at seeing the path.

In the original Blue Shift you had to find and climb a ladder back where you initially entered the canals which is located above a walkway that is mostly in shadow...the ladder is only visible with the flashlight and looking up on a wall where you wouldn't naturally look.

He's not wrong though. They are overdoing the puzzles a bit. Mod is decent, but much like Black Mesa it shows that it is not made by VALVe, but rather a fan made stuff
