Black Mesa: Blue Shift
Weird texture issues
I recently downloaded the mod using the bshift_install.bat method. The mod works fine overall, but I noticed at the beginning some textures are either overly shining with green-blueish hue, and some of the objects have black textures. I am not sure if this only an issue in the beginning though, it's not a big deal for me either but I'd do like to try to take a precaution and get assistance in rectifying this before I play.

Which textures are affected by this? And are you using any custom model packs?

Nope, just the base game, and I only have this mod installed. Here is a gallery of what issues I am seeing here from the game.

Chairs, benches, hydrants, (some) trash cans, vents, all either have this shiny glowing blue-ish cyan texture or they are all black textures.

Are you using the latest version of bms?

Yes, I am using the latest version. I wonder if this is a mounting issue on the affected textures or not, but I can't seem to figure out what is causing these visual glitches to begin with. Something to do with DirectX maybe?

We know that this can happen on IGPUs. Maybe try DXVK and see if it works better.
