Limitation/Issue with Auto crafting
I’ve ran into a problem, currently I’ve been playing with Industrial Overhaul and using Isy’s Inventory script for inventory management and auto crafting. I’m to the point where I need ammo to defend myself from Reavers. The issue is that Isy’s script doesn’t detect gunpowder as something that’s able to be auto crafted. (Even if you use !learn to attempt to teach the script how to craft modded items.) Instead Isy’s script shows gunpowder as magnesium ingots when it’d produced and transferred from the Munitions Factory to a cargo container specifically a “ingot” cargo container. (This can be seen via IIM-main on an LCD.) So, I was wondering if magnesium ingots from the vanilla game have been renamed/retextured to be quote on quote gunpowder instead? If that’s the case my question is how plausible would it be to make gunpowder, its own item so it could be auto crafted in Isy’s script and or registered as a component instead of an ingot?

On further investigation I’ve also looked at the Synthetics Factory to see if I could reproduce this issue with something else. The Synthetics Factory can make Asphalt, Plastic, Rubber, and Synthetic polymer. The first three according to the script state that they are all components and are sorted into the component’s cargo container, while Synthetic polymer is sorted into the ingot’s container. And which also means it can’t be auto crafted by Isy’s script.

Restating my original question. How plausible would it be to make all items crafted by any of the various machines a component unless it’s like ammo. Which I briefly tested and does go to the ammo container and can be auto crafted. Yippee!

i ran into the same issue. I dont know if it is possible to change the type of these items into components so that we can autocraft with Isy's script

I want to say it would be possible to change the type of the items. I’m not sure how it works but I’d like to believe it’s just some kind of tag attached to the items.

Hey @BlueLiver, there is a way around this by combining [QoL] Production Quota for autocrafting and Isy's inventory management for item counting. This is actually a pretty good combination.
