Ore Spawn on modded Planets
I haven't found anything to this specific topic so i have to ask here.
I wanna use IO on a modded Planet, or even some more as i would intend to build a custom solar system. Everytime i try to spawn a planet i have no luck to find the IO specific ores, like titanium, bauxite, oil sand and lithium. i could voxel hand some deposits, as i can choose the corresponing material, but where is the fun in searching for ores, when you know where they are?

So i assume i'm doing something wrong, but can't figure out what it is.
Or maybe it's even not possible to use custom planets, if that is the case, i would suggest, if possible, to create a mod which simply randomly spawns the ores.

Any tips and tricks are highly appreciated ^^

Did you ever figure this out? I too am looking for a solution for modded planets.

The ores that planets spawn underground are dependent on files included with the planet (specifically one of the bitmaps) so you'd have to re-mod those files (effectively creating your own modified mod) to include the values IO has for ores.

There is no random generation of underground ores - it's all pre-rendered.

Same issue, I have been trying to implement ore spawning on modded planet Ata 03 Earth. I changed the oremappings inside the file to them from IO earthlike. Can't find any resources except for niter becuz it replaces magnesium. Would be cool if someone would make a step by step guide. Wasted my entire freetime today on it.

https://www.youtube.com/user/AllGoodAllEasy/featured this is from dr octoganapus youtube, a guide to mod planets. basically you need to replace the planet config AND the ore map. because the config is looking for a certain "color" to determine that there has to be a certain ore. the color is in the ore map, the node is in the config
