Question about Mechinators

Apologies if this was already asked, but I couldn't find anything about this.

What happens when a pawn (or sleeve?) with both a mechlink and stack dies? Do mechs lose their owner, or does it transfer with the stack? Can mechinators needlecast?

When a pawn with a stack and a mechlink die it acts exactly as if they didn't have a stack. The mechs go wild and you can extract the mechlink from their corpse and give it to someone else or their new sleeve. Idk about needlecasting though
