You should join the discord, a lot more solo discussion takes place there. You can solo in Hard 2P with almost any hero, or Medium 5P. Hero selection gets limited as you go up, but a ton of heroes can do it provided they get a Necrobook drop. Ultra 5P has only been solod with less then 10 heroes that I know of. A couple runs are on youtube; most have been done via Kyle/Sup who streams via discord occasionally and is considered the best soloer.

Axe is generally considered recommended for first solo hero as he's pretty straight forward, similar tanks like Centaur, Spectre, Leshrac, Pudge are ranked highly too. Timber is pretty phenomenal too due to how quickly he closes out side bosses, but struggles to end without Necrobook. Shadow shaman, Beastmaster, and Venomancer are also popular picks but have small margins of error.

If you're going late, make sure to get a Helm of Commander up and snag a Baby Rosh. You can buy non-exalted/hallowed items on them and use their auras to boost you further. Usually I put them with the best aura neutral item + Insight/Pipe/Greaves/VC/AC and Vlads. If you're thick with money though you can explore making a chain of Baby Roshes and play some Warcraft :P

IMO your build is really lacking Spell Amp. You want Deathstone for additional life leech + amp, along with Hallowed Scepter to kick things up. Ideally you'd replace Insight and Boots with those, and your wildcard remaining 2 would be picked from Blink, Vermillion, Trident, Shivas, Mjollnir or Insight. The nice thing about Scepter + Heart is that it means you exclusively buy Int Tomes, but it boosts both your HP and your damage much more then exclusively Str tomes. Agony touched on this in the previous "tips" topic a few months ago.

I think the weirdest solo hero I've seen was HornyVegan on Weaver 2P.
