DeadAir Dynamic Wars
This topic has been pinned, so it's probably important

Feature Suggestions
So I need some feedback on these ideas:

1) A revert of relations to neutral either by chance or say if the xenon take control of a sector. Either time based until next diplomacy change or condition based.

2) An option to allow the player relations to be changed (not actually sure if this is possible with the way the code is written). Concern is someone building up relations with a faction only to have it instantly go to nemesis or something.

3) A conversation prompt of a friendly faction asking for assistance in a war. Gain relation if offer to help or lose a bit if declined? IDK thoughts?

4) More information about faction economy etc.

Number 3 sounds fun, it could be set up so that you visit a faction rep and have the option to assist in a war for money or relation boost then you pick an enemy faction and get a mission to destroy a station or build some ships, when you finish the mission you get your reward.

That's not a bad idea, I could try and do something similar to the war subscriptions but a much simpler version. (The code for the missions is actually extremely complex and I struggle to even understand them)

I know this topic is a bit old at this point, but I like the first idea as well as the third. The main issue I've seen with this mod is that it makes the xenon quite a threat, and it does this because every faction is constantly at war and they never have any time to replace fleets. I'm 80h in or so and with exception to the Terrans-Which have a god-tier simple economy., Argons-Who I've been MASS supplying with parts, and the Xenon-Who can build ships from literal sunlight and dirt. No faction has any real military left, not a single destroyer/carrier/battleship left among ANY other faction now. Which has lead to xenon dominance, with only the argons, terrans and myself stemming the tide. (When the terrans and argons are blapping each other.)

Something to help keep these idiots from killing each other when the xenon are standing behind them eating them alive would help.

Figure i would post my suggestion here as well, but would love to see a multiplyer in the options for changing reps between the factions, like perhaps 0.1x to 10x? Personally would love to have it ALLOT more expensive to change reps between major factions then it currently is, thinking as a more mid/late game credit sink. thinking it should cost hundreds of millions to billions to modify an empires opinion of another outside of plots, but obviously many wouldnt want this, hence the suggestion for a slider in the mod extention options if possible.

Also perhaps a "cheat" option to modify xenon rep with the player? just suggesting this part because xenon rep is modifyable in custom game starts with the base game, but its locked at what ever the player sets it at at the start of the game, and even the cheat mod doesnt allow changing of xenon rep.

Also to your original post here, really do like your point 3 there with potential missions to aid a faction, if it was tied to a faction rep or something, not sure about getting a faction hit on decline but perhaps a faction hit if you accept the mission and then abort it later? but this could also give us options to support factions that normally dont have war guilds dynamicly. These could be missions like build a station, supply a fleet, or destroy an enemy station?

I think it'd be cool to have more narrative driven changes to diplomacy. Stagger diplomacy changes, so they don't all happen at once, and generate a mission offer for the player. The mission should describe the two factions, the potential change in relations status, and offer the player a chance to interrupt the change in diplomatic relationship by completing a timed mission. What the cause of the change in relationship status is could tie in to the mission, etc.

Also, being able to alter diplomatic relationships by completing missions instead of simply bribing would be cool too.
