@MisterUlysses - The mod doesn't change behaviors that would cause that. It usually results from police and is a vanilla "issue." The aiscripts don't care if their own faction ship did something illegal, they will respond to help when it's attacked and the cycle begins.

I noticed after installing the github version that the Terrans and Pioneers (at 25 relation to each other) have started attacking each other's ships and stations. Any idea what might be causing it? I have other mods but nothing that affects diplomacy afaik.

@Jaydak - I reworked all of my many mods into two on my github. Eco is my diff changes for economy stuff and Scripts is my collection of script mods (including dynamic wars etc)

Hi Deadair! Thanks for putting this mod together, it's made the game so much more engaging

You mentioned that you aren't uploading your newest stuff on the workshop and that this is an older version of Dynamic Wars.

I found your Github page, but it looks to have been updated at the same time as this workshop mod. Where would you recommend as the best place be to get a copy of your latest work?

As mentioned by @uberjammer and @Zeronidus, there are ways to have this work in 7.5.

Reports are that just sir nukes mod support on "unsafe" mode has occasional issues with right clicking on ships/assets.

I've heard that using Kuertee's UI extension fixes the issues.

This version on steam is a simplified older version of dynamic wars that I do not plan on updating. It will remain on here until it is broken by a patch but I am not a fan of the way workshop is implemented for X4 so I don't plan on uploading my newest stuff.

This works with the latest build of X4 with Protected UI disabled. Some mods like Kuertee's Headhunter won't have the most wanted on the map, but this can still be found in the Extension Options menu. Other mods will have similar behaviour. Let me quote Egosoft:

"We're going to focus on mod support..."

Added UI Protection mode which breaks mods.

The sir nukes api mod no longer lets you right click ships in the menu with latest update, disabling that mod allows menu to work again, but of course without that mod cannot use diplomacy from this mod.

@trayen - yes, but it would do absolutely nothing. Factions with positive relation would only get higher relation while factions that are hostile would only have decreasing relation.

Has anyone found a way to have factions adjust their relations with other factions due to trading or attacking ships just like player relation to a faction? I like the random relationship hits that this mod has but there still needs to be a way for faction to faction adjustments.

is there any way to tie your relations with a faction to the faction you started as? Otherwise if you wanted to join in a war with your chosen faction you would have to kill your rep with said faction but when the game makes them friends again you are still hated.

I can't seem to get factions to change their rep with the SCA I click nothing changes and they take my money. Other factions work just fine. I made sure to disable the SCA rep lock as well.

The bar is scaling so:
Green = surplus of stored wares above demand
Blue = amount of wares stored that covers demand

If the bar is half green, that means they have roughly 1.5-2x the desired amount of wares

Actually it might not be a guaranteed 3 free favours, its just always 3 for me because i don't do it for a good few hours each time, so maybe 3 is the max as i have never had more each time.

If you become friendly with a faction (i think its 20+ relations) after a while you will get to increase or decrease relations by 5 points 3 times for free and then will have to wait again some time before you can do it for free. If you befriend both factions you'll be able to increase Boron and Terrans with each other rather than just from 1 side so effectively 30 points instead of 15.

Hi, so how do I stop the Terrans from just kicking the shit outta every faction? I downloaded this mod on my new run and I just unlocked the Boron and the Terrans sent a whole fleet of Osakas and Katanas to smash them, while at the same time waging war against the Argon and Antigon.

I went to the mod menu to try and adjust relations but it says I have "insufficient funds" to do so. I don't mind a galactic war but I would like the ability to give the Boron a breather so they can at least build up a military before the Terrans kick them in their fish-balls again.

@mumbolian - actually there isn't anywhere to see how many but on the github version it makes it very clear whether you are using a favor or money to change relations

@contentsumo - I'm not aware of them being incompatible but you would have to find a 6.2 version of sir nukes mod support api

is this compatible with SW interworlds cuz i used to be able to find the menu for this but i cant anymore and the only change was SWi. also to play SWi i needed to go to 6.20 could that be the problem

@Mumbolian - Each script run (usually every 30 minutes) if you have over 20 ui value of relation with a faction, you get a favor. You can use them to do a free increase/decrease of relation involving that faction. Essentially, you gain more diplomatic influence with that faction the longer you stay friendly with them.

Hi deadair - first, excellent mods. I'm using the github release but wanted to ask a question.

What are 'diplomatic favors' - how many do I have, how do I get more etc? I see I can buy relationships, but i'm not really clear on what the actual cost is.

@valindor - Mods go into the extensions folder in your base game folder, not documents. They may look different since they don't need to be packed into a cat/dat like egosoft forces on steam, and are more user friendly (for those who actually want to edit/look into files). On github, there is a releases section on the right hand side - you grab the zip from there and extract it.

@NoName - Mod is not abandoned. I reworked everything for 7.0 and there is no standalone dynamic war anymore. I am not uploading any of my new stuff to steam workshop until improvements are made.

i guess you can just copy it in the extensions folder. i thought it was different because the folder structure looked so different that he other mods i looked at. still not usre about the eco/tatertrade one

also the github has DeadAir Eco in the dependencies but i searched that on nexus and steam and nothing comes up with that name. I find TaterTrade but only if i capitalize the D and A. if i dont for some reason it doesnt show up but i dont know if that mod is the one its referring too

im a bit of a boomer when it comes to github. I dont see a how to use on there so im not sure how to use the mod from there. Is it just a copy paste into the root x4 folder? can it be added mid game or does it need a new save?

@DeadAirRT Thank you for the reply. By the way I enabled the lore messages explaining reasons for relation changes in Dynamic War but almost always get reason:null as the message.

Is this normal behaviour? I think I recall reading a few proper messages when I installed the steam version from the workshop before.

@Fran - I recommend not enabling the dynamic war stuff until after you are bored of all the story stuff. The information menus still work fine though and will have no effect.

Hello DeadAir! Will i still be able to play allq uests with this? Or will there bbe the issue that factions go at war with each other, but its needed that they are friendly?
