Sometimes the transporter won't activate

It's not a bug I think, it's something I need to tweak on the base setup. What do I need to make/add it more stable? Is it an issue of not enough power?

if its red you dont have enough power. you need 20 reactors(or 500 batteries) to teleport the maximum range of 6000
