Deployed squads become colonists
As the title suggests, Deployed squads are spawning as colonists. I also noticed there's no option to have them drop from drop pods.. they walk in from map edge but automatically become colonists. I'm guessing it's a conflict with a UI mod or hospitality. I'll test when I get a chance and post findings here.

Isn't there a menu that appears in the top right? There you can order the squad to move/attack or leave.

No, It was there before the latest update but now when I call in squads they automatically join my faction... it's a shame because I had about 10 hours into a game before I realized it.

Do you have Real Faction Guest?

It's likely not a bug. I've deployed them via drop pod to my map on several occasions, and after leaving the pod they're still friendly ais, but once they are all out of the pod they join.

They leave the map if you command them to from the top right menu, and respond to other commands from it. I'm guessing this is a design choice so you have tactical control of their deployments at the cost of your people feeling bad when friendly forces get slaughtered. Just leave them conscripted until you're ready to send them off and they won't take anything.

Hell, it might even be a design choice to be able to keep them around for as long as you want under the idea that you're keeping them as a permanent garrison.

It is for sure not due to hospitality, any UI mods, Real Faction Guest, as I do not run any of those mods. If it does happen to be a bug, then it probably won't be for long as the mod has been getting basically daily updates.

Yeah I honestly wouldn't mind it but my guys spawn with naked dudes with knives and they don't end up leaving. It isn't just like 5 naked guys I think I have had atleast more than 20 spawn at a time

I don't have real faction guest... I tested again and noticed the troop movement menu appears until I exit out of the squad deploy window and there's no way to make it appear again... but even if I leave open the squad deploy window then spawn squad and click leave.. they do not leave. Either way the pawns will not leave and stay as colonists. I'll wait until it's fixed

i have the same issue where i can click on the top right menu all i want but other than a message that they are leaving nothing happens. i agree this would be a design choice and one i quite like but you should be able to send them back home or at least redeploy them.

When they are drafted - they ignore "squad control" commands. If you undraft them - they will leave the map when ordered

they will not for me, they also arrive in my capitol if i deploy them in another colony

Had a similar problem. It was caused by the map reroll mod. I never confirmed that I didn't want to reroll, so the thing was hanging up in the corner. Reloaded the save and confirmed the map and calling in the squad afterwards worked. The already existing button probably blocked the creation of the squad menu.

wasnt a problem for me until i had to restart the game due to an issue and now i cant send my squad home

It's caused by Dubs Bad Hygine in my modlist
@Фhtrin - Elaborate on that statement to clarify what makes you think so.
Had a similar incident, spawned a unit of about 12 guys and they became colonists. Never left, acted like regular colonists, no menu. Not sure what happened. Started a new game, now they come for a while, stay at a single area they are initially commanded when entering and leave after about a day.

This happens to me when I load a save with the squad on the map.
