hide vanilla engrams?
Any way to use SS override without having both vanilla and ss?

Nothing in SS does that.
You could do engramoverrides though in vanilla config. A lot of effort for minimal return

Also since you, in your earlier question, wanted to ensure tek engrams were linked to boss battles...

Well doing overrides would break that. Because your have to remove the vanilla prerequisite for the tek engrams.
