Floating Structures without Ground Support
How to remove Ground Support requirement when placing Foundations in the air?
I'm not talking about Foundation Support requirement, I'm talking about GROUND Support requirement.

"Can't Place SS Stone Foundation: No Ground or Snap Point"

The following works AFTER you've placed ground support and then removed everything below, but you can't just take a bunch of foundations and place them in a straight line without ground support. S+ allows this and with S+ it's part of NoFoundationsRequired.

If you're still not sure what I'm trying to say, do this:

1. Make a bunch of Foundations (like 100)
2. Use command to Fly
3. Fly like 50 feet up
4. Try to place foundations...try to build platform out of Foundations.

You can't

Even if you started Stacking a tall pillar of foundations and tried expanding from the uppermost foundation, still requires Ground Support and doesn't allow snapping because of that.

Thoughts?


PS, I don't want to use Ceilings, I want to use Foundations.

i never tested it to remove the ceilings afterwards but im 100% you can snap foundations under the ceilings

Indeed, I had tested it and you can use ceilings to expand, then snap foundations under them, and finally remove the ceilings.

not entirely sure what your describing on what your trying to build or even test. but, normally you'd build foundation ceiling then pillar down to foundations support then place foundations snapping off that to have above foundation support that's even in vanilla structures. so basically your trying to stack foundations high enough to cover an area.. you'd have to split your stacking with underlying
pillars and get a half snap point between that.. its the same for vanilla ceilings running over a water gap without pillars.

basically i'm saying you'd have to find level ground or you'd have to delete the stack of foundations and place a ceiling and have a pillar leading into the next level area of gound to build back up with foundations.. your snap point for your foundations ended and needs a new one.
