These "creators" thought they could take a good mod and continue it in the absence of the original creator, but now they're making it incompatible for people who want to go back. Disgusting.
Yes, there are some unique structures I have added that are not in S+, and there are unique structures in S+ that are not in this mod.
I still don't understand what the problem is though, if you think the structures are out of place and you don't think they belong, then what's the problem with losing them from a migration?
Really, this whole argument makes no sense. And Orionsun even welcomes S+ forks so that there is a higher chance a user has the version of S+ that they want, and not so that they all have to be... identical to each other. That kinda goes against the whole point of Orionsun releasing the source code time and time again.
And your argument is that is 'disgusting' if a server loses those structures when they decide to migrate, but it is perfectly acceptable if every user of this mod, including those not wishing to migrate ever, loses the structures because they are removed from the mod? How does that make sense?
Is this what we're doing now?
Legendar released this mod because they wanted to. There was even public discussion with orionsun on the subject. Yes, it fell between updates, and we were all uncertain if OS would return to working on his mod, but it wasn't a gapfill or a continuation. It was their own project and preferred by many who continue to use it.
The author of S+ specifically told people to do this, repeatedly and publicly.
I doubt you're qualified to make that statement. This is painfully funny because, custom content aside, S+ itself has since been almost completely rewritten and even contains ideas and code from some of us plagiarizing hacks.
Many of us actually discuss our mods with the original creator at length, actually. He's been invaluable in supporting these projects, original source aside.
No disrespect to anyone that isn't acting like a spoiled child over minor hiccups, but boo ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hoo. No one has an obligation to run your server for you, especially when you can't decide if new content is heresy against the one true god of structure mods or mandatory to even be considered a different mod.
"Summarize your attitude in one word."
So you aren't even really an S+ fanboy, you're literally just an entitled brat whining about there being consequences to changing mods with the weather.
IDK if someone already told you this but SS is an updated S+. S+ is no longer maintained and legend took S+ and made it into SS and now SS is continually maintained which is S+ with added features and fixes. WHY ON EARTH would you even want to revert to S+ when its no longer maintained. To me you have backwards thinking.
orionsun was very vocal and public that S+ was end of life and nothing was going to change since the June 2019 update. But yeh times move on and they ended up returning in 2020 during COVID. Some users still have orionsun's original announcements, that they were leaving, rattling around in their head though.
