A note on Hero Voice Barks
If you have ever used a custom voice pack on a Hero unit, you may have noticed that your soldier was somewhat muted on a mission.

This is because most custom Voice Packs have not included voice hooks for Hero actions. You get the generic enemy spotted, enemy killed, etc, but never special skills like Banish, Rend or Justice.

On the other hand, base-game Hero voice packs do not have lines for many regular soldier skills, such as Psi skills, firing the exo-suit etc.

This mod adds new custom cross-class skills which typically use regular soldier voice barks.

It will help breathe some personality back into your Hero units using a custom voice pack.

It breaks down like this:

If you use a base-game Hero voice, the following new skills will never bark:
REAPER: Hammer Shot, Incendiary Shot, Thunder, Hit & Run, Storm Lance, Serial, Medi-Shot SKIRMISHER: Shellburst Swipe, Tesla Rounds, Detonation Shot, Iron Curtain, Storm Position TEMPLAR: Spectral Shift, Shadow Blade, Wounding Shot, Punisher
^ These new skills will always bark for custom voice packs.

If you use a custom voice pack, the following skills are unlikely to bark:
REAPER: Shadow, Sting, Remote Start, Banish, Homing Mine SKIRMISHER: Combat Presence, Justice, Wrath, Manual Override TEMPLAR: Rend, Volt, Invert, Exchange, Void Conduit, Void Storm
^ These skills will always bark for the two base-game Hero voices.

But Cato, why not just make those skills all use Hero prompts only?

I considered it. But I like using custom voice packs, the thought of 'You must use base-game options for sound barks' was not as appealing as a 50/50 support split.

Tbh it is only the Templar which is a real mute casualty - modders never seem to support 'Rend' voice lines.

Check with voice pack authors (where possible) to see if they actually support Hero barks. Many have just enabled Hero Unit access without any tagged lines.
