Been ages since I checked up on this mod. I miss it quite a bit, but I understand how rough it can be trying to work with older code, especially when trying to do unsupported things. Even if it never gets fully updated, thank you folks very much for creating such a great mod that so many people have enjoyed. I hope your work on your own game continues to go well.

I will be patiently waiting for the stable release of SOS2 please stay healthy and hydrated !
So, is it at least usable in some capacity? I just want to know before I decide to use it, and if i should wait til it's fully ready for 1.4.

This is where efforts for 1.4 are currently.

We've stressed about getting this update out soon, and it's caused a tremendous amount of frustration and anxiety. Holograms are broken in several ways, planet travel is broken in several ways, the gas/pollution system can't dissipate in space, and there is a legacy of technical debt Kent feels very strongly must be addressed, especially in undocumented code or destructive harmony patches that should be implemented via transpliers.

Experimental is at least functional in 1.4, but has serious issues where it's not ready for steam yet, for the above issues and game breaking or cosmetic issues. 1.4 hit right in the middle of that work being done.

So 1.3 is the current stable version of SOS2.

The work load required to cure all these problems may take weeks. Possibly months.

The only things missing are the loading ships into a new save, which are currently broken, and a ton of formgel fixes. We're just waiting on Kent to do that stuff, then for Sonic to be satisfied with his balance changes and ship caching. Once those are finally done after all these months, it can go back on steam, and won't update more than a few times before staying there for many months until the next combat balance changes adding maneuvering & accuracy.
Gotcha! And again, always take your time with this stuff. I'm no modder, but even I know stuff like this can take FOREVER.

sounds like an update is close to being pushed out, thank you and all the other people who have contributed awsome work :)

i keep calling combat suppliers using debug but still no ship blueprint what do i do to fix

V86 is now out on github: https://github.com/SonicTHI/SaveOurShip2Experimental

This is the long awaited version where the last of the broken features from 1.4 have been fixed and almost all the anticipated experimental overhauls are in place save maneuvering & accuracy and the new ship caching optimization. Wall lights are no longer a dependency, hugslib is removed, ships (and attached ships & fleets) can now save and be loaded in a new game scenario start. Micro parts are now available for smaller ships: micro life support, micro shield, micro reactor.

With the Github v86f3 version RimPy is telling me that it's incompatible with Combat Extended and Vanilla Helixien Gas Extended - did I miss something?

Nope. We're not testing CE, and Helixien Gas geysers show up indiscriminately on all maps, including space.

Any chance you could just tack on code that makes the Helexien Geysers spawn with rocks and terrain around them like it's a gasteroid? ;)
