Questions and bug reports
Before sending a crash report, make sure:
1. To check game files integrity via Steam;
2. At least once run game via Steam, before running RimPy.
3. Backup and delete settings.dat and colors.dat files in the next folder:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\RimPy Mod Manager

Crash report of RimPy is stored in Logs folder next to RimPy executable. You should upload it on pastebin.com and provide a link.

Also, you should note RimPy version you have used and actions you have done before crashing,

Does the mod manager database even do anything? I see no difference in my sort order regardless of whether I'm subscribed to this database mod or not.

It's possible that there simply is no difference in practice between my current modlist and one that has special "community rules" applied, I was just wondering if subscribing to this mod even does anything.

It keeps showing an error and is annoying to deal with constantly.

All local mods, despite being identical to Workshop mods and having proper URLs set, will not open in browser/Steam no matter what. Looks like a simple oversight where the program thinks that local mods do not have an associated URL.

I have run into a problem where I can't seem to get rid of an older duplicate of a mod. So I've been having some trouble getting the mod "Call For Intel" to work on 1.5. After unsubscribing then resubscribing, the issue has been fixed. However now I have both the 1.4 and 1.5 versions on my Rimpy modlist. I can't seem to get rid of the inactive 1.4 version no matter how many times I refresh. Please advise?

Whenever I use the "Unsubscribe and delete" command when right-clicking on the inactive 1.4 version, it and the active 1.5 version switch places.

Also, I'm running both Steam and the Mod Manager at the same time, is it normal for Rimpy to warn me that the Steam API is not active?

Opening RimPy currently results in the Game Version entry to show
"1.5.4069 rev95 | GOG: 1.5.4075 | Wiki: no data | Steam: no data"
with the entry blinking a warning colour.

It seems to start and run just fine for sorting, filtering and modifying the mod list, but the warning remains in the Game Version entry at the top.

Some API key run out maybe? :D

Oh okay so that is normal, then, because I have the same version entry. Do you have any advice on my mentioned problem?

I can only take a blind guess, I've only ever run into a similar problem with mods I've had installed locally rather than through Steam, and usually only if I mess with mod files as I develop mods locally myself.
If it is indeed a Steam API problem, you should manage your subscriptions through Steam, rather than RimPy and not use any RimPy functions related to Steam (such as "Delete and Unsubscribe").
In order to fix this particular problem you could try and manually delete the offending mods and then verify your game files through Steam to trigger a refresh of downloaded mods.

In RimPy right click the offending mod -> Open Folder.
Close RimPy to avoid RimPy interfering.
The folder that you opened should be within the Steam workshop folders, meaning the folder should be something like
...\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\<mod id>
where <mod id> is a long number specific to the mod you're trying to remove.
Delete the entire <mod id> folder (not just its contents! Steam gets confused otherwise)
Repeat deletion process for any mod RimPy is struggling with.

Then

Verify your game files through steam to force Steam to check downloaded mods and subscriptions.
Wait for verification to complete before you mess with anything else.
Subscribe or Unsubscribe through the Steam Workshop until you are subscribed to whatever mods you wanted in the first place and unsubscribed from any your didn't want.
Wait for Steam to download mods if you changed anything (should only take a few seconds).
Restart RimPy.

Good luck!

Yep, worked like a charm. Deleted the mod file directly off Steam, validated the files, then resubscribed. Now there's no duplicate and Rimpy finds no issues with the mod on the active list.

Can you check for update for local mods through RimPy? It keeps crashing for me when I try to do that.

Hi, I'm experiencing recurring issues when trying to update my mods; steamcmd displays an error timeout issue every time I try to update. If I download a mod, no problem, only when trying to update. I had deleted Steamcmd multiple times, at first it worked but no longer.
Thanks.

Have you found a solution?

So I'm getting hit with 2 loop dependencies. I've tried manually sorting it, but I get hit with loads of errors when I do.

There are loops of dependencies in your mods list.
Next mods depend on each other:

Loop №1:
oskarpotocki.vfe.mechanoid
oskarpotocki.vfe.classical
ceteam.combatextended
sarg.alphamechs

Loop №2:
ceteam.combatextended
vanillaexpanded.vtexe
regrowth.botr.core
oskarpotocki.vfe.tribals
Having the same loop issue:
ceteam.combatextended
vanillaexpanded.vtexe
regrowth.botr.core
oskarpotocki.vfe.tribals

Thanks!

There seems to be an issue in the db for the Recycle This Retextured mod.

The dependency is not up to date.

It should be the following :

"3253550009": [
"Recycle This (continued)",
"https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=3253550009"
]

This is from line 413613 to 413616
I'm not use to put this but I have a strange problem since 1.5 update.
I got loops for mods that I used before that worked without any issues.

Can someone from the community or dev team to help/fix this issue?
Thank you
