How to fire Mercenaries?
Have no idea how to do this, feel like this would be helpful for other people to know as well, in case others dont know

Yeah,idk either. How can I get my guy to not be a mercenary anymore too?

The only thing i know of is to switch on dev mode and use the "Destroy" command on them

@All : Hired mercenaries have contracts which last 1 month (1 quadrum = 15 days), then when you receive the bill you choose to renew or not their contracts (by defaults all mercs are set to be renewed), if you dont want them to be renewed you need to uncheck the checkbox following their names in the middle of the dialog.

So do you want me to add on each mercenary a button to fire them before the end of them contracts ? even if the official method is not to renew the contract when receiving the invoice?

You can add this button, but also add penalties for premature dismissal.

Yeah i agree, it would be good to have that button, besides. I hired a merc as a cyborg, but he came with the trait "Body purist" which makes them a pain in the ass too keep. also hired two scientist which was unable to actually do science. but honestly this is such a awesome mod

@Daddy : No worry it's planned, 2 scientists unable to do science ? Do you remember what trait prevent them to do science ? Its a bug it need to be fixed

One was Convent Child. and the other caveworld tunneler

@All : Added in the latest update a button which allow to fire mercenaries ( warning : the guarantee associated with the merc is kept by the USFM as the contract is broken before the end.

@Daddy : weird i check in the merc generation stuff if he is able to do the job for what he is hired if not i overwrite it's child memory as "Child mercenary" to allow it to not be limited, let me know if it happens again with the new version

Also why am I not able to rent some mercenaries even though they have fine traits?

@Condor : Can be mercenaries, only colonists which not have traits listed in the mod's settings : "Mercenaries blacklisted traits (defName)", are not incapable of violence, are not already a hired mercenaries and was not fired by the USFM (there is a counterdown in this case).
