Mod ain't working.
Recently I tried to play this mod with my friends, but I have a problem with it. Namely, despite the fact that it is installed and enabled in the package that I chose to run, after clicking the "play" button, Hearts of Iron IV turns on, but without this mod, the base game itself starts just instead. I've already tried to fix this by uninstalling the mod and reinstalling it, trying to launch game without DLC's, deleting the mod's files manually and reinstalling them, uninstalling Hearts of Iron IV and reinstalling, and still nothing. Other mods like: Road to 56, Kaiserreich etc. are working properly, only this mod ain't working. What could be the reason for this?

Try unsubing and then resubing to the mod AFTER you have uninstalled and reinstalled the game itself. Switching DLCs will not do anything as far as i am aware

Didn't worked as well. I have no idea what might've be cause of this.

Hmmmm. I got some thoughts... Go to The Hearts of Iron 4 folder inside the Paradox Interactive folder and go to the mods folder and find EaW and then manually delete it. Then unsub from the mod on steam and resub. Tell me if that works. If it doesnt i can contact you on discord, if you got discord, and i will see what could be done from there

I've got Hearts of Iron 4 bought through steam. I don't have any folder called "mod" anywhere here, just as well Paradox Interactive folder.

I know that and you have such a folder. It is the folder where your save files are as well. Add me on discord TheFearlessHussar#2468 and i will call you try to figure out the rest.

i got some classes now from my uni but i will send you as soon as i am done. till then try uninstalling the game and then deleting your Hearts of Iron 4 folder from the Paradox Interactive Folder(make sure to copy your save games somewhere else beforehand so you dont lose them). Then unsub from the mod. Then reinstall the game, and then sub to the mod again. If that doesnt work add me on discord(TheFearlessHussar#2468) and i will send you as soon as i am done with my classes.

fixed again. the problems have to do with the launcher usually so a clean reinstall like the one described above usually fixes the issues. Sometimes things dont work on the first clean reinstall so one may need to do it again for it to work. Just a note for anyone with a similar problem

I had the same issue with the first try.

I unsubbed the Steam version ( Figured that I have a better chance get it work manually than automatically. )
and downloaded from ModDB site, yet the Launcher couldn't read it, so I created a new mod folder for it through the launcher's mod tool creation and moved Equestria at War -files into this new one I created and NOW the launcher decided that it will run.

Welp, I moved back on the Steam version to sub it after game kept crashing at "Initializing game" loading screen in few of launch attempts and NOW Steam's version decided to work with the game, and without crashing at loading screen...

I'm so confused how Paradox's newest Launcher work sometime...

You could unsub and sub the mod until the launcher decide accept it. That's how I got mine run with HoI4.
