Stuck in the first dang level

I'm super dumb. I've done everything up to putting a power gem into the power gem shelf. There is some obvious secret doors but I can't figure out how to open any.

I know this is an old post but I gotta say I was stuck at the start for a while too. I picked up a bag and put it in my inventory to look at later and forgot I had so I didn't realize I already had the key I needed.
