Bugs/Ideas
Firstly I'd like to thank for this amazing mod. It is a perfect mod for me, as the early game is what I enjoy the most. Time doesn't need to fly in the game itself, even if it flies while playing the game.

Heavy Slinger: the attack animation is bugged, the shots will fly high up all the way off the screen when the unit uses ranged attack with one hex between the target and the unit. When firing to an adjacent hex the shot flies lower but still abnormally high. Also when the unit kills an enemy, the death animation for the said enemy is same as with spearmen, last soldier is picked up and slammed to the ground.

Akkad: special military district (sappitu?) has red exclamation mark as graphic.

Sumer: ziggurat has red exclamation mark as graphic.

There is some odd persistent crash at some point, I have no idea what triggers it. The game gets shut down immediately. It does not seem to be dependent on turn number or civilization being played.

Having finally gotten to the late game in this mod (yay, finally no CTD bug) I realized the power creep is just simply insane. The later game units might just as well be tanks when compared to earlier units. They look like ancient units but for all purposes behave like something 2000+ years from the future. It somehow doesn't feel right.

Could the numbers be tuned a bit so the gap gets a bit smaller? Whether you are getting the shorter or longer end of the stick doesn't really matter much, the game just becomes less fun in late game. And I hoped this mod would actually save this game from that flaw...

Also a 20% health infantry unit deleted my 100% bowman unit. Both in this example were of a comparable level of tech. Is this how it's supposed to be? It felt odd.

Thanks for the comments, Gebus. When I created the mod, I followed the base game's unit trajectory in terms of cost and strength. Over a full-size game, I thought I'd tweaked it about right. Whilst you're suggesting this, others have suggested they're not strong enough compared to walls, so I'm getting some (slightly) conflicting feedback in this regard.

I've sorted the Sappitu for now and will look at the Ziggaurat. Also will look at the Heavy Slinger too.

Has anyone encountered an issue with cities not being rendered anymore?

Looks like this: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2044910957

I love your mod! I'd been waiting for an update for a long time.

Unfortunately, I'm getting a persistent CTD. It happens when one of the AI players makes me an offer to go to war against X. As soon as a hit "refuse" I get a CTD. I've restarted the save game, and the same sequence caused it to CTD 3 times.

Is there any chance of you uploading your logs to the Civfanatics thread please? I'm not saying that will definitely mean I can fix it but it may give me a clue as to what is going on.

I'd be more than happy to upload my logs, but you'll have to walk me through it...I have no idea where these are located.

They're located in (usually the C drive) at C:\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Logs.

I'm using a mac. I see a folder for CIV V, but nothing for CIV VI, or any combination of other search terms to match what you wrote above. It's also not in the usual place under steam games either...bit of a mystery.

I love the mod! But I've been experiencing the same odd crash. When I try a new game, it'll be fun for a bit, but then starts crashing right after. Would love to be able to play the game till the end!

Same thing for me, after I don't know ,200 turns, the game crashes and after that, it is impossible to continue (tried to changed order of action, nothing works).

yes i'm the same i feel its around turn 200 just as i start getting the roman legions and really getting into the game! , oddly i think its connected to completing a trade route . but i'm not 100% sure, becouse when it does crash , i cannot reload any of my games.

Sorry to hear about the crashes. Someone forwarded me a saved game with a crash at a similar time via Civfanatics and their game worked for me. The only difference between myself and them was that I keep all of Firaxis' content active, whereas they only had the specific DLC required for the mod activated. It's possible that a requirement for a different DLC has crept in...if you have all the DLC, but don't have it activated, could you see if activating all Firaxis' content works please?

im 100% sure that is not the case for me, i did a full reinstall , and updated all my drivers. and only downloaded the mods that are listed on the page for your mod (plus the newest battleaddtion one you listed)

The past 3 (2 without the newest battleaddition mod) games i've played as the romans and right on when i research the legions , or about 5 turns after the game melts on me. (generaly around turn 200 give or take)

Seem to have a HUGE drop in opitimazition (Game takes a very long time to make moves ) of the game just before it crashes as well. My computers just an entry lvl rig so i've only being playing on small and tiny maps

been testing playing a normal game (unmodded villina) over the last couple of days and have nearly completed it (turns 500+)

Out of interest, has anyone checked that their graphics card is out of date? The reason I ask is that I had a persistent crash around the 120 - 130 turn mark and could not track it down. I had thought it was connected to a particular building (the monument, which was in a district at the time and using the Asian version). I then worked out that this building had some graphical gusto when you elected to build it, and that it was only when I had witnessed that on-screen that the crash happened. However, it happened every game I played, no matter which civilization I played as.

It turns out that Nvidia updated the drivers mid-March and I hadn't been informed. Once I downloaded the new driver, everything worked fine.

Whilst I'm not saying that you definitely are experiencing the same issue, it would be good to cross it off the list of potential problems. I didn't think of this whilst frantically trying to get the mod to work...and there was nothing wrong with the mod, it was the Nvidia driver in the end!

In the meantime, I've started a game as Rome to see how I get on.

i had the same thought! , i have a very old gaming rig , with an old geforce gtx 750 , i updated that as well . but the crashes kept happening :(

I lowered the graphics settings and the game size to tiny , but unfortantly had the same result
