[NL] Facial Animation - WIP
Animations only working Upon Re-load
I'm not sure whether others have encountered this, but I’ve noticed an issue, specifically related to Hyacinth's Ratkin Facial Animation, or other alien races, (I'm not entirely sure).

When starting a new colony, facial animations do not begin functioning until the game is saved and reloaded. After reloading, the animations work as expected.

However, the same problem occurs when new traders or colonists arrive. Their facial animations also fail to activate until performing the same save-and-reload process. This makes it inconvenient to view animations for new visitors or recruits.

I’m not sure if this issue is isolated or more widespread, but is there a known fix or workaround? For example, is there a way to force RimWorld to refresh facial animations automatically when new visitors enter the map? :pimpheart:

I also discovered that if you have a pawn selected whose facial animations aren't currently working, and then you open the NL Facial Animation window while in-game, the animations will suddenly start playing for that specific pawn.

However, this only applies to the selected pawn, so you'd need to repeat this process for each individual pawn in order to get their facial animations to work.

This can feel incredibly immersion-breaking, especially when you're managing multiple pawns or interacting with new visitors like traders. It disrupts the flow of the game when you have to manually trigger animations for each pawn just to see their facial expressions,,
ive noticed the same issue with animations not starting until reload. same as youve described it, currently looking for a fix :(
