Suggestions: Species Traits
Next patch I will be adding species traits for all the species classes, and am looking for suggestions. In particular, I am looking for ideas fro mammalians, humanoids, and necroids.

Brainstorming Necroid traits:
Half-machine: -0.5 food upkeep, +0.5 energy upkeep, increased attraction to Materialism
Maintenance Needs: increased amenities usage
Prolonged Life: increased leader lifespan
Reproductive Difficulty: greatly reduced pop growth rate
Decaying: reduced Wet habitability
Tortured Existence: reduced happiness
Psychological Stasis: reduced leader experience gain
Recovered Memories: increased unity from jobs, increased leader experience gain
Sickening: greatly reduced amenities from jobs
Nightmarish: increased morale damage
Connection to the Dead: increased archaeology skill level for scientists

edit to add: Decaying should also reduce leader lifespan.

In my own trait mod I give Mammalians a bonus to Cold planet habitability and a smaller malus to dry planet habitability, both on account of their warm-bloodedness.

For humanoids- they're much more similar-looking to each other than the other species classes, maybe have a trait available to humanoid species that allows cross-breeding with other humanoid species? Or extra trust growth from envoys because once you've seen one you've seen them all?

We're on similar wavelengths, then. :)

i'd like to see a different base trait for humanoids than mammals. not all of them are very..... mammalian.

Cuborgs are much less powerful than Biological Ascencion with this mod, because there aren't any advanced Cyborg traits. It would be nice to see some that are on par with the advanced traits available to biological ascension.

Not sure if your still open to ideas, but can I suggestion for humanoids instead of them getting the Mammal Species Trait, they get to pick the species trait they are related to. Alternatively, get their own unique trait since some of them do not look mammals like the Klingon looking species and some parts of the mammal trait may not fit so well when most only have hair at the top of their head and lack fur or feathers.

For example:

Humanoid Trait: Due to taking a evolving away from their fellow species group, they have branch away to create their own species that is a more jack of all trades. Humanoids are also able to adapt to most environments and adapt the environment to survive using resources made available. However, it comes at the cost ad the species is highly individualistic and prone to infighting, and consuming more resources then necessary to survive, especially on planets they have not adapted to yet.
Cost: 0 Trait Points
+10% Adaptability
+5% Specialist and Resource Job Output
+10% Migration Pop Growth to Planets with a Habitat at or Above 60%
-10% Government Attraction
-5 Stability
+2.5% Consumer Good Upkeep on Planets With a Habitat Rating at or Above 90%
+10% Consumer Good Upkeep on Planets Below a Habitat Rating of 90%

Also, some new traits to go with humanoid:

Creep Out: Humanoids can be quite prejudiced against species that look bizarre to them, making them quite xenophobic as they fear the unknown and refuse to try new things.
Cost: -2 Trait Points
+10% Attraction of Xenophobe
-5% Happiness When Sharing A Planet with a Non-Humanoid.
-10 Trust With Non-Humanoid Spices

Embrace Difference: Humanoids can be quite fascinated with other species that are different from them, making them quite xenophile as they want to try new things.
Cost: +4 Trait Points
+10% Attraction to Xenophile
+5% Happiness When Sharing a Planet with a Non-Humanoid
+10 Trust With Non-Humanoid Species

Otherwise, they could get a few traits other species have.
