LWM's Deep Storage

No storage space for raw food items
So my issue is this: I get an alert that says "No storage space" for raw food related items. Raw meat, corn, rice, you name it. In the past I've reported how it's done this with hay too.

Now I've tested it with different storage objects. Stockpiles work fine as do the normal vanilla storage objects. But the deep storage and any sub-mods don't seem to want to accept these items.

I have gone through and made sure that the storage settings, home settings, area settings, paths, and everything make sense. I've tested it with vanilla objects and the modded ones, literally copy and pasting the storage settings over and it works on the vanilla ones, but not the deep storage ones.

The catchy thing is that it produces no error. Literally none, but regardless I've saved my hugslog in case the info there may be able to help: https://gist.github.com/8a47e30544f01091c16ca884e9754b87

Because it produces no error, I don't really think it's a bug with deep storage per say. I think it's just a mod conflict, but this issue has existed for over a year across multiple versions of the game and the mod, and I still can't narrow down what is causing this weird behavior. I have gone mod-by-mod for over a hundred mods, and I haven't been able to figure out what causes it.

In the past, I've managed to ease it by getting rice and corn to work, but hay continued to be impossible to store. Obviously it's not a common issue because I don't ever seem to see people posting about having the same issue.

So I'm here, hoping maybe you can help me figure out what's causing this behavior so I can figure out how to deal with it once and for all. If it means nuking a mod, fine. I thought it best to create a new thread as I'm not sure that this is actually a bug with deep storage and perhaps just a incompatibility and it may take some back and forths to narrow down.

Probably best you started a new thread ><

So let me be sure I understand:
You have DS storage items (btw, there is only ONE vanilla storage item, the shelf) set to receive hay (hay rack, for example), you have hay sitting around, and no one takes it to the rack? Ever?

One way to almost certainly solve it:
Download the debug version from GitHub, turn on all the debug options under the 2nd mod option menu.
Start a naked brutality tiny tiny map and destroy everything in the map using dev tools. Get one pawn with job logging turned on. Spawn one hay rack, one pile hay, and see what happens. The log should be fairly straightforward.

Correct, nobody will transport the hay to the rack and even trying to right click and force them to do it won't work because it says there is no place configured to store that item — even though I have 100% ensured that there is nothing wrong with the storage settings, path, allowances, etc.

What could be either good or bad news is that I've just discovered that it's also happening for wood and steel. So it may not be specific to items, just something jumbly with the storages.

Anyway, I'll go download the debug branch and give a test a whirl. Quick question; do you know where exactly I go to turn on job logging?

Okay, so I ran the debug test and to my chagrin, I could not reproduce the issue at all. Everything worked fine. My log has a bunch of various entries, some are red but unfortunately, I am unsure what some of the functions of deep storage do and since I couldn't re-pro, I'm guessing aren't relevant.

Also I'm a dumbass and forgot to paste the log I clipboard'd from that test so I did it again just in case those errors did wind up being meaningful. https://gist.github.com/1758cb1ab6da776714caa9471d02979f

I didn't change my mod list at all between the bugged state and the debug version. And I definitely have 1.2.0.3 so the only thing I can think of is perhaps it has to do with the custom settings I use for deep storage. I change a few things but most importantly, I use the user modified build settings and I crank up the values to insane (like..millions) so perhaps one of my settings there is bonkers. I'll keep trying things out anyway.
