DOTA AUTO CHESS

Auto Chess is great. One major criticism.
I've played hundreds of games of Auto Chess. Overall, the game is very good, and I appreciate the effort that's been put into it.

The fact that I can get matched against the same enemy who beats me round after round after round when there are 5 people in the game and none of the others can beat me is utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

This poorly-thought-out matchmaking that repeatedly creates the same pair matches over and over and over and over and over when there are many other options is beyond frustrating.

If there's anything that will stop me from playing this game, that's it.

Yep I was last place and fought Rank 1 4x, Rank 2 3x.
Balanced game for sure.

Starting to think Player Rank is just RNG, if the game likes you then you'll keep ranking up. If not you'll demote to Pawn-9.

Bit of an overstatement, but definitely value in this criticism.

Fighting the highest ranks when you are at the lowest rank over and over and over again is totally unacceptable.

A better option might be to use a random order then round robin and re-repeat. If someone gets knocked out, then that person just moves to next in order. Or a safety where you can't match last opponent (i.e. your random pool is all players minus previous player)

Any of that seems reasonable to me.

I'd tend to prefer the round robin instead of the safety option, myself. Something intentional.
