A chemically fascinated pawn decided to binge on the colony's flake production (destined for export) and got herself addicted, calming efforts didn't stop her and I decided that rather than arresting her and creating a mess I'd manually tell her to take methadone each day.

However that isn't preventing her from deciding to treat her withdrawal by taking, you guessed it, more flake. I tried keeping her away from it by forcing her to do other jobs until food and hunger were low enough she'd decide to go do that instead, so far an annoying micromanagement but doable.

In spite of being Content and having 80+ mood, she still went on the drug binge mental breakdown, wasting all efforts of taking her off the flake.

What do you guys do in such situations?

Walling up the pawn or flake doesn't count, as in the mod description methadone exists to prevent exactly that.
