Bug reports
This is a centralized topic to report bugs, since the new topics created don't send you a notification.

If you want me to take a look at your error, I NEED you to submit error logs. It is crucial you provide me with Hugslib logs - I am not interested in comments ‘X doesn’t work because Y’, and I will not reply to those, even delete them if they hide proper bug reporting. Hugslib logs are what tells us, devs, what went wrong, and what mods you were using.

IF YOU DON'T POST A HUGSLIB LOG, YOUR REPORT WILL BE DELETED FROM NOW ON TO AVOID CLUTTER.

To get hugslib logs, make sure you have a Hugslib mod running, then press CTRL-F12 while in game and copy the link to us.

If Hugslib is not an option:

Note that you can find your logs at \steamapps\common\RimWorld\RimWorldWin64_Data\output_log.txt and you can share it with me by uploading it to https://pastebin.com

Your VE Framework is severely outdated
Gorehuchi 20/jul./2021 às 4:15
Oh wow, thanks for the quick response! That's odd, wonder why it didn't update. I'll see to getting the new version then!

My player log is being spammed nonstop with:

Trying to get stat MeleeArmorPenetration from AA_Eyeling which has no support for Combat Extended.
(Filename: C:\buildslave\unity\build\Runtime/Export/Debug/Debug.bindings.h Line: 39)

Is that something AA needs to fix or CE?
legodude17 22/jul./2021 às 10:00
@Cal That means CE hasn’t updated its patch for the latest version of Alpha Animals. They’ll need to update it on their side.
Sarg Bjornson  [desenvolvedor(a)] 22/jul./2021 às 10:19
Yeah, CE just can't keep up with the speed at which AA updates

Error loading just the dependencies for Alpha Animals and both official DLC packs.
Something involving an animal related to the dryads from Ideology is throwing this error.

Your game is not properly updated!

Oh, yeah, good call
I've seen a comment to this effect allready, just can't seem to find it anymore, so here goes: About gigantelopes, I have 3 of them, all 3 Legendary hediff which adds up to 210kg carry weight (((75 base + 30 lgd hediff) * 1 manipulation mult) * 2 body size) = 210... all good, a poor quality gigantelope is (75 + 5)*2 = 160... but in caravan selection screen all of them, wether poor or legendary quality, have 144kg Mass carry capacity. When I add a mod with a multiplier to carry capacity, and say double the multiplier. All creatures: alpha animals, humanoids, vanilla beasts, etc etc get increased carry capacity in caravan... except gigantelopes... they remain at 144kg no matter what I do. I gave them different hediffs, even went so far as to remove their CC buff, they just remain at 144. For the record, the mod which adds a multiplier to pawns caravaning capacity, adds it to "Mass capacity"... I don't understand entirely how it differs from regular carry capacity... but since it affects all pawns to the exclusion of gigantelopes, I'm assuming there is a difference somewhere. Ofc, there could be a mod conflict somewhere in my LO, but I can't begin to guess where. If anyone, mod author or otherwise, could shed some light on the matter, i would greatly appreciate it. I've been using this mod since forever, and I can't consider it a real rimworld without it :) but this has been bugging me for some time ever since I started some 'lopes ranching to realize... size didn't matter -_-'. If I were american, I would be having a real existential crisis about it.

Edit: i didn't add a hugslib log, since there is no error to speak of. The mod runs flawlessly, and I'd suspect it's an oversight rather then a bug.

It is, indeed, something on your end. Here you can see two of them, one is Awful, the second one is Legendary, and compared to a Muffalo:

https://i.imgur.com/8NZIK0b.png
Okay, I've been testing several scenarios with nothing else but this mod... And I think I just don't understand the vanilla mass capacity calculation system.
-Gigantelope 1 (nomal +7 hediff) has 164 carry capacity, can carry 83.5kg in caravan.
-Gigantelope 2 (legendary +30) has 210 carry capacity, can carry 144 in caravan (like in your screenshot)
-Gigantelope 3 (excellent +15) has 180 carry capacity, can carry 108 in caravan
I don't get the math exactly, but this is where it goes to hell for me:
-Gigantelope 4 (excellent +15, same as above but has *BAD back : -10% manipulation*) has carry capacity of 162 (18 lower as above) but can carry 108 in caravan, same as above, this also happens with 2 identical muffalos, with only 1 having a bad back.
-Gigantelope 5 (masterwork +20) can carry 124 in caravan...

I don't understand how the game calculates all this. Why is a legendary gigantelope with 210 carry capacity only able to carry 144 in a caravan? and if it substracts the beast's weight from it's carry capacity, why isn't it substracting the same number from each identical creature? It substracted 66kg from gigantelope 2 capacity, 80.5kg from g1, 72kg from G3 and only 54kg from G4 which has same hediff as G3, except it has a bad back....

So in short... Rimworld physics... nothing to do with alpha animals as far as I can tell. And this is without any other mod, aside from Alpha Animals, VEF and hugslib

EDIT: Found the answer in a post from a user named okradonkey; for anyone interested:

Carrying Capacity:
Short-range hauling capacity; items carried externally in the pawn's hands (or mouth or hooves or whatever). This is the Carrying Capacity number in the Stats tab of a pawn's Info panel.

Inventory/Caravan Capacity:
Mass capacity of items stashed away in a pawn's internal inventory (think of pockets or saddlebags); items only visible in a pawn's Gear tab, not visible in pawn's hands. This is the larger number in the "Mass Carried" stat in a pawn's Gear tab.

Vanilla Carrying Capacity:
= body size * manipulation capacity * (75 + gear/hediff offsets) * traits/lifestage/scenario multipliers

Vanilla Inventory/Caravan Capacity:
= body size * 35

Carry capacity in map, as far as I'm aware, is a different stat from caravan carry capacity. Carry capacity in map is also mostly ignored except for hauling stacks, which makes it more or less useless unless a stack increasing mod is used
