When using a ship as the home base (yes, I know that's not really supported - but I try to keep it very very still :P ) even keeping it very still, there can still be very slight drift.

The drift I see is not enough to throw off the connector/docking right away... but over many trips/dockings it will eventually. The amount it would end up being off by is quite small and likely wouldn't really affect the pathing all that much.

My suggestion is to have an option for ships to re-record their home location each time they undock with the connector... this would (should) be relatively simple to implement and would allow for very small amounts of drift and make the use of carrier ships more practical.
