Does anyone use the CFG[...] commands ? Please answer.
Hey guys,
i have a little survey to you.

Does anyone use the CFG[...] commands ?

I'm considering to remove them (maybe not all) because they are superfluous. Especially since there is the pam controller.
So please let me know what you think.

So here is what i think:

[CFGS] -> useful
[CFGE] -> useful (maybe split in 3 individual)
[CFGB] -> superfluous
[CFGL] -> superfluous
[CFGW] -> superfluous
[CFGA] -> superfluous

Thanks.

Honestly I don't use them at all, i just setup the miner and let it go on its way. I don't get why you should change any of these values at runtime ...

I do use them. Almost all of them with timers.
Maybe if you remove them you could provide some timer hooks?

for example: if at mining job position - start timer A (should be a list)

I have used them in the past, when i was still a rookie and didnt believe in action groups for job setup. now i use the UI from an LCD panel :)

I would recommend keeping them if it's not a size issue. I'm mostly interested in some ability to store and send new jobs and job management. The goal being to be able to create new jobs with a command ship and have them distributed to miner drones. Even if that came in the form of get coords and set coords commands i'd be happy.

I used them to set up PAM. It's nice being able to call commands directly rather than navigate menus, especially when working on PAM remotely.
