Unnofficial Bug Reporting (Now Approved!!!)
Figured i would start this so there is less bugs swarming the main page. just post the issues here, try not to repeat known issues.

At least untill an offical one shows up.

1) Content mods will make you spawn in the water, and not appear at the bulwark, or you will be teleported to the bulwark, but the waves will never start. This means mods that add weapons/ammo/units/vehicals. Stuff that might spawn with the random generation of enemies and gear. (Have not tested this on dedicated, as i do not have access to one.)
*Have not had this happen in a LONG time. Seems mostly fixed, but i dont use a ton of mods. Anyone else having these issues still?

2) Spawning in water at mission start (No Mods). Most of the time not a big issue, since you just miss some time to gather gear, but sometimes the bulwark spawns with you in the water. More common after the server runs for a while. (Already stated Local Host only issue.)
*Havent had this happen in a long time either. Anyone else having these issues still?

3) Enemies walking through fortifications. I have no idea why it happens and cant offer any actual fixes, but you may want to take a look at how KP Liberation missions spawn/place structures, since AI cannot go through those, even ask if you can borrow some code from them.

4) Unreliable Mid Match Joining. I dont know if this can be fixed, but often when a player joins mid game, they will end up in the ocean and from then on unless the server is restarted it leaves one player stuck in the ocean. Will see if i can recreate the issue (when i get some freinds on lol)

Do you have any mods? And sometimes it just messes up. I have had some games where it just loads bad or something and we are stuck in the water and nothing works. I cant say for certain.

I have a dedicated server I will allow you to play around with if you need help. I am not a content creator, but I do host servers often. I am subscribed to this reply section, so I will see your message. :claugh:

So I have been trying over the past hour or so trying to play with a few of my friends on the mission and we can't seem to all connect as we try to get the third player in and they spawn in the ocean and drown and they are connected to the server. However, all they see is the loading screen. We then tried to get a fourth player to join and they receive the same. All we did was change the map to Altis and the second player can join with no problem and we can all play normally on other gamemodes but with this we face the problem. I don't know if there is a fix for this.

I updated the first post with a bug that WaterMelon brought to my attention.

@JustAWaterMelon Thank you for reminding me of that bug, i completely forgot about it after the other issues happened (like the entire bulwark spawning in the water). I had the same issue when a friend joined mid game, but and it kept having issues with at least one player from then on until we restarted the server. Then it worked fine. So it seems like you need to get the entire group in at the lobby, mid match joining seems unreliable (We only joined on the lobby from then on to make it easier). But i am going to do further testing once i get some friends to try and recreate issues.

@headbang's friend Easy enough to run a quick test, add something like NIArms all in one, or RHS, or CUP Weapons (i know this causes the issues for sure from my own initial attempts to play). I havent tested smaller ones like mods that add a single weapon yet, so i cant compare how those react with dedicated.

Unable to use mission.pbo in dedicated server. I will try to change the name to work as a different map if possible.

yeah, that was a problem i have with changing the map myself, the mission is just mission.pbo, and changing the folder name does not change the map.

That's going to be a negative on the map change. If there is a specific way to do it, I will try to do that.

Hey if you guys can list how I can recreate the 'spawn in water' bug. It's been hanging around for a bit and I'd like to fix it.

What would really help is if you can instruct me on how to recreate it. eg. What mods I need loaded and how you were running the misson.

Try out version 1.1 and see if it's still an issue.

I've added point 3 and 4 to github for investigation.

I was actually just going to test the spawn in the water bug with content mods, i will let you know how it goes, since i dont need others for this.

Just ran some rounds (about 6 i think) with Cup weapons, CBA_A3, NIArms all in one, ADR-97 weapons pack, Outlow Magrepack, achilles, NIArms Cup compatibility, and Joint Rails for ADR-97. With no issues really, it spawned me in the ocean for a few seconds once, but immediatly put me to the bulwark.

So it is already a major improvement over what it was where if i had used those before(and i had tried when i first found this mission cause i like several of the weapons in the mods). Then it would have spawned both the players and the bulwark in the water, and done nothing, or spawn the player there, and the bulwark properly, but nothing would have happened, you would never have been trasnported over.

I wont be able to get to much testing done today, have some prior engagements tonight. But i should be able to get some done tomorrow with my group. we can see how long it holds up without issues with mods.

So I had a little testing with a couple friends and we came to the conclusion that one of the mods that forced us to spawn in the ocean where the bulwark didn't go anywhere was the vsm all in one mod. This was also with CBA, NIARMS all in one and all the RHS mods. But, these mods didn't spawn the bulwark in the ocean.

AI pathfinding is bugged. Everytime I play this mission the AI seems to just stop moving once every couple rounds. Impossible to get them to start moving again, had to kill all of them with MCC in order to get fresh functional AI.

@The Malteser The AI thing happens occasionally, generally to ones that spawn a decent distance outside the circle. They despawn after a little while though, so you dont have to hunt them down if they do.

@JustAWaterMelon as for CBA, and NIARMS all in one, they dont cause the ocean spawning very often (if at all) anymore. i detailed it in my earlier post better and did much more testing (another 15 or so rounds with that mod list). I dont personally use vsm though, so i dont know how that affects it at all. I also havent booted up RHS into it yet either. since its already damn near impossible to find matching magazines.

@SSgt. John "Four Leaf" Tayback I have never personally been injured randomly from being near a fortification, so i cant say anything about it. see if you can replicate it, or if it was more of a situational thing (such as it was at the perfect angle in the perfect place)
